Yeah, I was about to post it before but didn't think it needed a new post so I just put the interesting info in an existing thread but I'll post it here to

Eurogamer article says:

Alex Evans:
I was talking to the team about this, and in LittleBigPlanet, there's so much stuff we've had to cut from the game just for focus reasons. Those are the constraints we were talking about - it's worth cutting sometimes. But the number of directions, and the breadth you could take from a game like LittleBigPlanet, while keeping it within the LittleBigPlanet universe, is insane

A lot of people say to me, "when you first revealed LittleBigPlanet, the Sony reveal, that was a big shock". People didn't see it coming. I want to be able to do another reveal where people don't see it coming - it's still LittleBigPlanet, but they're saying, "oh my god, I thought it was this, you're telling me it's this as well?!" That excites me hugely, definitely.

Rest of the article HERE (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=224220&page=1)

It looks like the "Big Secret" was a quote taken out of context about the possibilities on the future of LBP and the content which could be added to it. The article shows that Alex is pie-in-the-sky'ing about wanting to bring something to LBP as big a surprise to people as when they first revealed it.

Personally I'm not all that fussed about there being no "Big Secret", it would have been fun to see some big thing added that we weren't expecting but it's not like not having it takes anything away from the game. At the moment LBP ticks all my "is this game worth buying" boxes (apart from the HDD image importing being cut)

Yeah misquote, though I'd say the facebook-esque picture tagging was somewhat of a major reveal. Anyone else think that's a grand idea?

YES! I was rather impressed by that bit. It means we can see what the level looks like before downloading it, good tool for skimming through lots of levels.

I think its an amazing idea. My biggest concern for this game was worrying that my levels would be lost in the pack and that no one would play them. But this idea means I should hopefully be able to get my content out there no problem.

Basically, it's just a level where you go to collect all these items the person's made for you, the costumes, whatever.

Wait...we can MAKE costumes? Or am I just tired and cannot read properly >_<

I think we can "sticker" patterns onto the sackboys (and girls) but as far as actual costumes we can customise the combination but we can't create all new costumes.

Oh...hmm, makes sense...but why did he say costume? :/

Either way, thanks for clarifying =D

When I posted this last night I thought it was new and original. But after looking at my other thread I see it's just a more complete interview that was highlighted in this thread.

Hope it's still informative to who ever reads it. But maybe it's not as new as I thought it was. :)

Yeah all that was ment by that is when you change all the different pieces of a costume, if you like the certain combination you have come up with, out of the thousands of combinations. You can then save it as a costume (just like when you save items you have built) so you don't have to remember all the items of clothing you put together to get that look again. So you can build up a wardrobe basically of costumes you have come up with. You can also just hit a random button and it gives you some mad combo's

I saw a vid of someome demoing this before, can't remember where though

It was a great read and really gave me a sense of how sharing a level works. Glad you posted it thanks.
