Basically, bomb survival is a survival level where bombs are falling from the sky. Anyone who likes survival levels or some of the previously made bomb survival levels will love this one. Just collect as many points as you can and try and beat the high score!

i know the screenshots aren't the best, but when you are trying to take pics and dodge bombs it is kinda hard. lol. So anyways, please try out my level, and heart if you like it, and rate and tag nicely!

What differentiates this from the thousands of other bomb survival levels out there?

Y'know, that's a good question. Right now the only real difference is the colors and stuff, the way I made it dark and stuff, whereas most other levels are bright and outside and stuff. But what is going to make it different is that I am going to update it with different kinds of bombs to be falling the longer you survive. The only problem I am having with that is making the different bombs kick in the longer you survive the level. So if anyone could give me any ideas on how that would work, please do so.

You know?
I'd reccomend making a new original level, that way it won't be compared to other millions of it already made and it won't be considered a copy. :)

And apart from the Desert Survival levels all the other bomb survivals already look the same. >_>

I bet i could even reate it and give it a full review without even playing it. :p

Come on m8, be a little bit more creative, after all there are thousands of things to do in the game! :D

I have two other levels just so you know. I just loved the bomb survival levels so much that I thought I would try and make one of my own. Don't think I don't have any sense of creativity though, because trust me, I do.

Oh, i never said that you didn't have creativty, don't get me wrong, i was just suggesting that you might want to make something else, if you don't and want to make the Bomb survival them its cool.
Who knows? you might even make something "new" to add to it that will make it different from the rest of the bomb survival levels. :)

I am going to add on to the bomb survival, but this is not going to be the only thing i am doing. Right now I am currently making a jungle level and having to take a ton of time trying to put all the details and crud in. But yeah, survival levels are not going to be my only levels. Heck, this might be the only survival level i ever make.

I'm just saying this because you mentioned you were having trouble with figuring out how to make difficulty ramp up - with different bombs - in your level.
Hope this helps!

haha thanks for being so kind Incinerator22, i think i will go out and rename this level to Attack of the Cyborg Teddy Bears. but yeah i will probably change the name of this level when i update it with different bombs falling the longer you play (thanks for the links crazymario!), and i will just take your comment and think oof it as helpful criticism.

Actually, OMG-A-FISH called his "When the Turtles Fell" I think.... it was bombs shaped like turtles.... but once again, pretty much the same as the other 2965 bomb survival levels.

I suppose you COULD call it "Grandma's Cupcake Surprise" if you shaped the bombs like cupcakes.

Or maybe even "Falling Pieces of Poop" if you.... well, you get the point.

EVIL EXPLODING CUPCAKES OF DOOM

its almost like rickrolling someone lol

I played through Bomb Survival a couple times, bbdogdude (and beat your high score, too!) and have some comments.

I'm actually playing it right now, while I give this feedback, which is one of the things I wanted to address.

A lot of bomb survival maps have this problem, and the problem is "dead zones." Most of them have a spot on the edge where you can just hang onto the wall and never get hit. Yours has a spot (spots?) where I can just stand and not even see bombs falling. Near the right edge is where I'm currently racking up points.

Making the level less wide could help make this problem more manageable, and I don't think having it as wide as it is really adds to the gameplay. Also, I'm just making this up, and I don't know about the mechanics of your level, but what about putting a bomb emitter on a creature that follows the player?

Another issue, and probably the most significant problem, is performance. I'm having severe performance issues on this level. Every few seconds it'll freeze up for a split second, and it's pretty annoying.

Visually, I like it. The splat on the screen is pretty cool. (the green slime things that appeared for some reason at some point).

I think other bomb survival levels let the point bubbles stay around forever, so surviving for a longer period of time allows you to collect a bunch at once for a huge combo. Was it a conscious design decision to make your point bubbles disappear?

I don't play a lot of bomb survival games, but yours is at least as good as any other I've played :)

It appears I've reached the bottom. Perhaps you could incorporate some kind of endgame prize?

I solved the "dead zone" problem in my "A Totally Unoriginal Level" by making a proximity sensor on each end that makes it so if you stay there, it drops bombs into that area in ridiculous numbers.

thats a pretty good idea! and nice level name :p

@tashi: Thanks for the feedback and i will do as much as i can to fix the problems you said. Making the playing field
smaller might actually fix the lag issue, and that creature idea is pretty good. and yeah i will put like a huge point prize at the bottom. Once again, Thanks for the advice!

V1.1 of this level is out now! I made the playing field smaller, added a death-ray type thing (it has a warning light, dont worry) on the left side because a lot of bombs go over therefor some reason making a big crater for you to hang on the side of, so i wouldnt hang on the side of the crater on the left side (if you guys find the death ray too annoying i will take it out immediately). The lag issue isnt as bad but it is still there and for some reason the point bubbles wont have an infinite lifetime, even when i edit the setting to infinite lifetime, so i will try and fix both of those issues as fast as i can. Thanks for all the feedback!

Regarding the infinite lifetime of the score bubbles:

Check the emitter to see how many can be emitted at the same time. If it`s set to 5, no more can be active at one time. Once you have 5 emitted, when more get emitted, the oldest one will disappear to make way for the new one and so on.

oh yeah...i have it set to 10. okay i will change that to infinite too and republish it.

@NinjaMicWZ: HUGE THANKS!!! i appreciate your playing this level and loving it.
