Historical inaccuracies aside, it is a great film. I haven't seen it in years now I think about it, may have to dust the DVD off this weekend :)

Aye, fight and you may die, run and you'll live.... but only for a little while.

If you could trade in all those days! For just one day, One Day! To show our enemies, that they could take our land.... but they will NEVER TAKE OUR FREEDOM!

FORRRRRR SCOTLANDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!

(/lift up kilts)

I think it was the only Mel Gibson film i liked. But the film sorta dragged on for a little while too......
I guess i just liked the speech he did before that huge battle in that open grass area.

Moved thread.

On topic, it's a great movie. Hoping to receive the Blu-ray from someone come Christmas. Hear it looks fantastic in HD; too bad the same isn't true for the Sapphire release of Gladiator. :(

I think I may have to pick this up on bluray as well. I really loved this movie back when it came out, saw it many many times. I think Mel Gibson really did a good job with it, strangely enough I don't think Ridley Scott could have made Braveheart as good a film as Mel Gibson did. And I'm no fan of Mel Gibson!

but Braveheart's always got a good place for me, Mel Gibson's creepy torture/martyrdom fetish notwithstanding.

I just saw Braveheart a few weeks ago and I thought it was a great movie. Any movie with a crazy Irishman who thinks he can talk to God is okay in my book. :p
