"Create" Trophy - Sign up sheet

Ok lets get started, one of the hardest trophies in this game looks to be this one:

A level you published was hearted by 50 or more people and you were hearted by 30 or more people.

Started this so that we can find people easily who can quickly come & heart the level & you.. When the game releases, I'll update the list with people's level names too.

BUT, don't put my name down on the ist just yet. Personally, I want an honest opinion on my level, so I don't want 50 hearts on one that doesn't deserve it. Quite happy to help others out though, so I'll happily heart anyone elses that needs it.

Well, for people who want the platinum, it just makes things easier.. Especially for us guys in the UK, who's levels will be buried underneath the rest of the worlds..

With a forum like this, boosting won't be necessary, IMO. We're gonna be posting our creations in threads, most likely, and that's gonna get us all the exposure we need. Miff... as long as your levels don't suck, I'll heart 'em up. Same with whoever else joins this thread list.

One thing to remember... if you want to be hearted yourself, you've gotta be able to find and heart GOOD content. Part of LBP is gonna be to get yourself a reputation of being a good level finder or having good taste in levels.

No the trick is to make 50 dummy accounts and then heart your level with them.

A friend of mine and I did that in RSV2 to increase our leaderboard kills after mine had magically been reset for some reason. =P

Hmmm, maybe after I get a chance to see if I've got the stuff to make good levels. :)

The point of this trophy was for people to make awesome levels and try to get this by honesty not cheating... but who cares; I am in lol:rolleyes:

Well said. I don't like this idea too much myself. It does seem dishonest. I have a counter proposal, though, one that I'm very sure everyone can agree on. We all like each other here right, so why not help each other out. That's the intention of this thread. So once you've managed to make an awesome level, and tons of people have played and many have hearted it. And you're at 46 hearts, and you just can't wait for those other 4 kind souls to pop on by and show you the love. WELL, that would be a good time to stop by here, tell us about where you're at with your level and ask a few kind folks to give you those extra hearts :) This is an honest way to make the best use of both your own skills and this great community! Wouldn't you agree Miffy? :p I don't think conspiring to cheat is a great idea on this forum, especially when we are getting into the LBP registry. So why not turn this idea into a positive, help out your buddies plan!

Ah just re-read what you said at the beginning, guess we all just assumed you meant, post a level-any-level and all these people will heart it.

My advice is, drop the name list, but come the time to start helping out, we can request a level be added to the top of this thread (via a request to you) and that way people will know if this thread becomes bold because someone posted in it, then it means someone needs our help! And I know I'll be checking it as most usual members will, so surely enough people will come around to help a trophy-hunter out :)

You know, maybe I judged this unfairly. We're all like a big group, clan, gang, or family anyway. I know I'm going to swing by everyones levels and more than likely play with whomever and give the props/hearts to the members. Besides, this is a great community, why not show so love? :)

I've also found some fantastic levels with hardly any hearts or plays. No one can find them unless they get pushed up to begin with.

same with me, in similar contrast, a large amount of the 'cool levels' I found to be rather boring. And I wont have the game until Wednesday either.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Some quality levels will probably never see the attention they deserve, because of the spamfest of trophy/rocket levels :/

I completely agree! I hated this idea at the beginning, but the "trophy" levels have about 4k hearts just because people wanted their "I hearted a level" bronze trophy and this was the first level they went to....

So... and I don't want anyone to heart my level just cause I say so... but please view my level and comment, heart, whatever you like! And I'll do the same for others who request (again, if it is agreed)

Huh? So even if the level is God awful, you'll heart it anyway? That seems so cheap. Isn't the point of trophies the sense of acheivment? If you take that away, what's the point?

It's just lending a hand to get a difficult trophy. I'm sure they're going to play each other's levels and I'm sure people aren't going to put up a level that is complete crap or a blank palette just for the heart. My levels been up since day 1 of the servers and I've gotten like 20 plays, if no one sees it, no one can play it.

The impression I get is that the majority of users on this forum do not like H4H or boosting. Most want to earn it honestly, and the threads that have tried to allude to this concept, even if they don't use the dreaded "H4H" phrase, have been heavily frowned upon.

As this thread is now 4 pages long, I don't think people will read the whole thing and realise what's going on. New members might mistake this for a H4H thread.

So... could this be locked to avoid all this trouble?

No problem, I'll help you. Here is how I did it:

Step 1 - I built a decent level
Step 2 - I nurtured it until it was really good and people liked it.
Step 3 - I built a few more levels that people enjoyed.
Step 4 - I finally spent many many hours making a 4th level that really caught peoples attention.

It was after step 4 that I received my 30th author heart.

My question to you is this: what difference does it make getting the hearts if you didn't EARN them? What satisfaction does it give you?

If more people asked themselves these questions, maybe I would get less heart4heart comments cluttering the comments on my level.

Agreed. Personally, I don't just want to not participate but I think this shold be closed for reasons I've already said and not going to bore you with again. It's not a huge deal, but is quite annoying for fans of LBP.
