Very nice Level!
It was very short, but I'm guessing your point was to show how you created that complex puzzle?

Well, the level wasn't an RPG, but it is the setup of one.
Very awesome work with your mechanics, have you thought of creating a RPG level?
You can make one work out great!
Although, it'll take time and practice.

I gave you 5 stars and I want to see you try something like that again, but better.

I used to have problems with my levels freezing all the time but now I make copies so if it does happen tofreeze then I can just continue from my last copy.

Good level trianglepigsqar. It almost seemed like a survival challenge because of the length. The puzzle was good but maybe too complex. Not that a complex puzzle is bad, I solved it but I kind of did it on trial and error, and I was confused on what switch opened what door on occasion, I thought maybe some magic mouths hooked up with a cut scene to show the door that just opened, but that would have been a lot of mouths.....Maybe a couple of cameras zoomed out to show the big picture. The art design as a whole was very pretty. This would be an excellent puzzle in a level.

I can tell you have a lot of creativity and I can't wait to see how it progresses in the future. :)

I gave you four stars and I think I already hearted you as creator, if not I will now.

THis level was a actually lot shorter than i was expecting and it was also little simple in my opinion. I enjoyed the -pulling a lever to open a door with another lever behind it that opens a door with another lever behind it to open another door approach- but it got a little bland after a while. I still gave your level four stars and a heart though and i would love to see this kind of thing but this time incorporated in some kind of level as a puzzle or something.

I thought about this but decided it would make it to easy!

Woo-hoo! I just gave this level a try and it was a pleasant surprise. For some reason, the shortness of it made me very happy :) Perhaps it was because I am on a feedback binge, and I just needed something like that now, but I would like to think that it is because the level was just straight to the point and executed well :)

I enjoyed the concept behind it a lot. It was certainly simple, but it was fun, and it didn't go on for too long, so it didn't become meticulous.

My one piece of advice would be to set the switches to directional so that when they are flipped, the doors will open and stay opened instead of going up and down. You may have to switch their settings to inverted, but it won't be much of a big deal. Then again, maybe you liked the way the doors were opening and shutting, but I just didn't seem to fit the level to me. That is just my opinion though :)

It would be fun if you built other short puzzle level like this. Obviously, don't do a puzzle at all like this, but try something else. Maybe you could have a short puzzle series of levels :)

I am adding a bit of a platformer style level to this - still based around a swich!

I aggree with amazingflyingpoo, I will make a series but I won't make them to long! Should they have the same design e.g. Dungeon Escape 2!

Does anyone know how to change thread names?!?

03-16-2010, 08:25 AM
If you do make it "Dungeon Escape 2", my advice would be to make sure that the level isn't based around pulling switches and dragging blocks. I really enjoyed this one, but if you keep using the same mechanic for each one then the levels will get really old really fast. If you could come up with a new mechanic for each dungeon then it could be really cool :)

As for changing thread names, just go to your initial thread on the post, and then click "edit post". Once you get to the screen where you can edit, you should see an option to "Go Advanced" or something like that. Once you are in the advanced menu you can chance he title of a thread :-)

Hi, trianglepigsquar. Yesterday I played your level and I liked it. Good materials, smart sequence of switches and blocking doors. All things are look fine. But all of it for me are some part of big level with great story. If you will do continue your just can use this sequence, make bigger distance between them with some story adventures and you will have good adventure level. So right now I gave your 3 stars for it.

Hi Trianglepigsquare

Your level is short, but fun, I believe that you have very good ideas, your design is very good, I played again and I think you did a very good work, is fun and enjoyable, I have liked the new stuff, I only have one problem in the first catapult, maybe you can fix this part, if you change the velocity of the piston, but is your choice, I like your level . I gave you 4 stars :)
