Same question for will people be able to go in online create together and play together? (if one is LBP and the other LBP2)

I'm positive that this will impossible. LBP2 has things that LBP doesn't have, it's a whole different game.

The only reason LBP levels will be in LBP2 is because all the content in LBP is available in LBP2, but not the other way around.

not to mention the economic factors involved... Sony want you to buy the new game, this would take away the incentive for many people :p

Expanding on Whaaale's post;

I'm sure LBP2 levels will have a lot more memory than LBP levels - making the engine that LBP runs inferior, so that it wouldn't be able to load such big levels.

I wouldn't bet on it. You're still going to have a thermo and there is no reason to suspect that the allowance for thermo will be significantly more than what we have now.

Yeah, but they're doing things like hiding logic in microchips to conserve thermo, I don't see why they wouldn't be cutting thermo in other places too.

That's not adding to the thermo's size, that's reducing the size of what goes into the level.

Same effect-levels can pack more in, but different cause

What about being able to play with pepole on little big planet 1?

If you try to add something from LBP 2 they can have the DLC box that pops up.

Not going to happen.

For LBP2 stuff to work on the first, it would have to be patched into the first game, which isn't going to happen since that's why we have a sequel and not as a big DLC.

That, and the PS Blogs FAQ on LBP2 states that any DLC released after LBP2's release will not work in the first game, giving leverage to LBP1 not getting further updates after the LBP2 release.

Not foward compatibility as much as backwards compatibility... maybe if LBP2 player were playing with an LBP host in backwards compatibility it might work...! (NOTE TO SELF: MAKE NEW AVATAR)
