I, for one, am extremely excited about being able to create a full game with the new tools that LBP2 will be having.
Hopefully, all the new tools will easy to utilize and create games with.

I'm currently planning on making a clone of a classic top-down scrolling shoot-em up called Space Aleste a.k.a Space Megaforce

This is a video of a couple of the bosses in the game.

I'm currently attempting to make a somewhat similar type of game on LBP1. I'm actually pretty close to getting the ships to work :)

So, what are you guys planning?

Media Molecule's Castle, more like a series than a game though, a simple platformer.
A Happy Gadder's Resource Center, where LBP2 members can share their ideas, logic/creations, and custom music. Wouldn't count it as a game though. Just a level...
And some thing Innovative, no title yet, and not idea yet either, but it will be the first real game me and my team makes.

I think there is gonna be a LOT of zombie games lol. I haven't seen many in LBP1. I think I'd need to see more on create mode to commit to an idea for a game. First I'll probably just to a story series using all the new cinematic stuff and badges just to wrap my head around it all. Then I'd probably go rpg, like all the others :kz:

I think I plan to start work on the 3rd Installment to my Sack Soldier series... But I think a lot is gonna change compared to the first two, still a platformer but a really cinematic experience... Can't wait... Double the Action, Double the Explosions, Double the... yeah you get my drift... lol...

First: LittleBigIsland. An RPG where you live your new life on LittleBigIsland. Explore caves, fight the blood crazed animals, and furnish your home.
Second: An untitled game set on an alien planet. Pondering if it should be a horror or not

A fighting game like street fighter seems like it would not work on lbp2( maybe) but from what I know so far I could make a game like this.

This would be fun seeing as we can link levels together so I can make them as stage 1-8

Something a little bit like BitTrip: Runner.

You control a Sackbot messenger, carrying a package from one place to another. The Sackbot runs on its own and jumps when you press X. To progress you need to hit buttons on the sixaxis as they appear on the screen. For example, if Sackbot is running into a door labeled R1, you need to press R1 in order to open the door.

I'm gonna make a tower defense game, I can do it in LBP, actually I already have but I didn't publish it but it would just be so much easier and user friendly in LBP2 using the direct control seat. So I'm gonna do that plush a whole lot of other ideas I already have wandering around in my head but you'll just have to wait for them;)

I'm planning to do a stealth/action-based RPG-level/series based on my own characters LBP-ized. Haven't really planned out much though, I'd rather see LBP2's interface first and get familiar with all of the tools and stuff. :)

I'm planning sackboy texas hold'em. With sackbots striptease just to make it more spicey. :p
I really have an idea but I need some more DLC costumes, and they will remain on the sackpersons, I swear it.
Oh, and I need to see how the gravity control works, or a section that I have in mind...

Then there's another level with totally messed gravity, but still, I need to see how it works.

Possibly, if the engine will allow it, a top-down paintinator shooter. Kinda like the older Zelda games, but mostly the Bow sections... And HookShot... Possibly...

An arcade FPS. The ones where you just aim and shoot, while the game moves you by itself. A rails shooter, I think it's called. (Although, I could almost do that in LBP1... The Direct Control Seat would work better.

Top down RTS. (I mean, who doesn't want to make one?!)

Anyway, yeah. Light guns are those peripheral thingies, right? They're usually used with On rails shooters. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On-rails_shooter#Types)

I also would love to make a fighting game, using giant robots, and I could use a sackbot in a control seat for an AI fighter. It'd haz real wat0rz.

I keep thinking how it's gonna' be possible to do knock offs of so many games. Abe's Odyssey would be a good one: you could easily implement a gamespeak system for interacting with the bots. Slap 'em and they get angry and slap you back, pat 'em on the shoulder and say "Sorry," and they forgive you. Tell them to follow you and then you can lead them to a bird portal. I probably won't pursue that idea (I've already got two major projects planned for Lbp2) but if I did, it wouldn't be a direct Oddworld rip-off. Basically a similar style but with its own world/story.

In a simlar vein, you could easily do some squad based game-play by implementing a command system (which is basically identical to the gamespeak I just talked about).

My two projects for lbp2 are going to be a top-down/isometric view mech level/game, and the remaining chapters of my War of Souls series. After that, I'll just have to see what I feel like doing, but I'm leaning toward an isometric view action-adventure game (of course that's only if we can rig sackbots to walk on the back wall) and I'm already starting to dream up a story for it. I'd probably do a squad thing with it: with four or more playable characters that you can take control of at any time (like in the Lego Star Wars games) and have it so other players can drop in or out at any time and take control of one of the unused characters.

If you can place the camera behind the player, then an assassin's creed type level where the sackbots run away if you kill one of them (made by a multitude of magnetic switches made easy by the circuit boards :) )

But I just might make a top-down battleship level that has a 1 player mode and a multiplayer mode.
Or separate level's for the modes.

Like, the 1 player mode will have other battleship's trying to sink yours,
and multiplayer will have them attack each other.

I'm going to make my RagTag game, which I explain in another thread I started. Basically, you run around with a grappling hook, and tag sackbots that look like rags. They will then try to kill the nearest sackboy.

First i want to see what new control options are available when you put a control seat on a sackbot and what kind of functional attachments you can add to that.
I can see attaching a rocket to the back of the sackbot attached to some logic via microchip or maybe some form of emitter that the player would be able to use via the control seat to add all kinds of platforming options.

Spyro the Dragon tribute game. Taking elements from all 3 original games rather than recreating the 1st.

Expect Gliding, Fire breathing, Charging (maybe) Gnorcs, Rynocs, Riptocs, 3 Bosses, Spyro, Bentley, Shiela, Sgt Byrd, Agent 9, music (?), one underwater level, one (maybe more) flight level/s and a minigame of Dragonfly racing!

After I release MAPI, I will have a little minigame called Mechanic Mania. Each player controls a sackbot with an inventory on its back and a cannon strapped to their face. You can simply defeat enemies by jumping on them. Once enemies die, they drop scrap metal which can be collected. Scrap metal can be used to heal yourself, but you can also convert scrap to bullets that you fire from the cannon at enemies.
If you do the deathmatch function, you will also try to eliminate your fellow players by shooting them.
In coop mode, you can heal your teammates, and your goal is to kill as many robots as you can in a group.

I'm gonna make a game called, "BUMPER CARS!"
If you're familiar with Left 4 Dead, you'd know that Francis says, "Woo! Bumper cars."
I'm gonna take note of the "Crashy Crash" game at the E3 demo, and combine that with both a zompocalypse enviroment and the old game "Sheriff".
Basically, a bunch of infected will circle the ring, and one or two at a time they'll come in. Bumping/boosting into a zombie kills it and nets you 50 points. Four players can play at once, bumping into zombies to see who'll come out as #1!

I'll also make a few SACK-Type Games, reminiscent of the famous SNES side-shooter.

my story is going to be about different games like killzone, resistance, Mortal kombat & Aliens Vs Predator, all invading the LBP Dimension, and you, the Sack, must defend your Game from them trying to turn it into a sick & twisted world, and you meet the good guys from each game, who help you drive them back into the dimension warp hole back to there own Dimension, but i might make the Predator a good guy. Nobody steal my ideas lol

I want to create a sort of PvE mission maker set:
A custom AI that has variables so people can make their own enemies and allies, a set of triggers that work with the AI so you can make scenarios like escorting a VIP, taking out an enemy etc. Also way to have player classes with different equipment.
Then I'll create a few vehicle templates, weapons, scenery and then I'll have a nice level kit to create lots of missions to play with friends :)

Well my idea is to recreate the Ball Puzzler for the iphone. Where you control the ball by tilting the phone. i'll accomplish the same effect by using some cameras and some movers. I was also planning to make a DDR replica but someone (for got the name :( ) posted a thread about it, and now I'm debating what to do. Yeah thats it :) Some of the ideas here sound great! :D Sound really awesome.

I know, i know this doesn't EXACTLY count as a game but hey what the heck? if you can make s bots (sack bots) do what ever you want, couldn't that mean you could make a play or a fashion show? I would find that very interesting to play. lol i can just imagine a catwalk with sackpeople struting their stuff! XD this more or less counts as a game: a two player game where some one with a creatinator gets held on to by the other player with a grapple hook and and they have to work to gether to get through obstacles and stay alive as long as they can (somewhat made like a "kill your BF level" one on the top, while ones on the bottom, but not killing eachother, of course :p)

Yeah, I didn't read through to see if it's been said yet... Using the Controlinator to control logic, and when you play the moving song, it emits a mag key that the sackbots (dressed as patapons) follow, and stuffs... :D

My favorite types of games have always been ones with lots of hidden secrets and places to explore, and I've had a few ideas about making a game like that in LBP. Unfortunately, LBP was missing the ability to link/warp from 1 level to another, and the ability to share some information from 1 level to another, making thing like inventory, or discovering abilities/upgrade impossible in games spanning multiple levels, unless it's perfectly linear.

I think I've seen mention of level linking in LBP2, but it would be AWESOME if they had both that and some way to share information from 1 level to another. I even figured out a way in LBP1 to make save/load rooms, which would work if there was level linking + information transfer to support them. I couldn't even imagine what kind of games could be made in LBP2 if that becomes possible.

Mine's going to be an action RPG. I can see how I could do an exp. and random encounter system... :gopher:
Probably will end up with a final fantasy-esque type GAME.:p
And I just lost THE GAME...:(

I got a lot of ideas. of course a horror level will come as that's my specialty I got a few things in mind but need to get my hands on lbp2 to see if its possible to do what I have in mind.

I want to try to make a fighting game and a tag game. maybe gta like game too.

Dangit you stole my idea! The direct control seats are really helpful with this kinda thing.

I have a few ideas that I have been thinking about:

-A Civilization esque turn based strategy game, I tried it with LBP1, didn't work out so well.
-A sandbox air combat game
-A series of top down action games the details of which I have yet to work out.

I am thinking about re-creating some of the Lumosity games to LBP 2. I first have to get a membership there though, so I have access to everything.
