Ok, I got to ask this. With the new lighting engine, will placed lights like the fairy light still have their light go thru materials. In 1 sense it is a good thing but things like lightning flashes that you want to be seen thru buildings will it show? In, the announcment video it looked like light never went thru materials in the dark place on there. Or, is there a tweak for this?

Maybe, in LBP we had a tweak to make the lights "blockable" (the beam one at least, although it isn't as advanced as in LBP2) so, maybe?

I wouldn't mind a length setting on spotlights/lasers.
I made a little security level, and they shone through the dark matter to the room below. :P
