I was thinking about it, with all the car levels made in LBP 1, Do you think we will be able to use them in Race levels that we create? This is somewhat of a question.. in a way its not, its your opinion unless its already been said :)

I don't really get what you're trying to ask... can you give an example of how it would not work?

LBP 1 cars went along the ground
LBP2 races go along the wall

I don't think the two will go together.

Well I will probably still prefer on-the-ground cars because they will most likely still be more detailed than on-the-wall cars. It really just depends on the creator but in general on-the-ground cars will be more detailed.

You can still make a side scrolling race therefore it means you can still use use your "side car".

I know you can use the side car but i wonder if they will let you use the car for the "3-d"ish races, from a aerial view

No, you will need to recreate the car from a top-down view, if you want the aerial view races.

I would like to see a standard car race from LBP2, but with the DCS. You could add a bunny-hop function like in speed racer. :D

I suppose you might be able to put a camera behind them and having them switch lanes over the three layers.

It's not an actual aerial view, it's the same view we've always had just with some new tools to make it work like an aerial view.

id go with ground race and with the new camera do you think we can make it on back of sackboy so its really 3d?

Well, in the video preview of the game we can see objects behind rotated in different axis, like the barrels in the race per example.
This MIGHT mean we can rotate objects on multiple axis. MM also mentionned somewhere you can edit stuff "from behind" for whatever that means. Or maybe they talk about some "layer selector" or view tool...

it would be nice for a on the ground car race, if the cameras can go to the rear of the car you could make a need for speed style level.... my problem with this is that i dont think you will be able to change lanes on the different layers, if we can wooohhhoooo but for now i think we should stick to car showcases or arcady arial view races e.g formula one ( thats a good one) bagsy mine its now copyrighted hahahaha

If they made it so you can see the rear that would be extremly awesome :D
