Hi guys!
I just created this signature
http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/qq185/Acta_Non_Verba2008/TheArmedReaper.png?t=1224255771
I want to know if I should replace it with my current one?

It wouldn't be that hard. You don't even need to re-color it, you could just re-make it. make a 1x selection and choose somewhere to put it. Make sure it has a decent amount of color. In Yarbones case, he took that selection and put it somewhere over the tongue of sacky. Copy that selection (In case) and make it as wide as the sig dimensions. Its a strip of color (: O). You would then move your render down (The sackboy in this case, but remember a render has been cut out and the rest of the renders picture is transparent allowing you to move it around without covering space with the pictures background) or up as Yarbone did. Make a new layer and get a big curvy jagged brush out, hit one big dollop on, and then put it away. In GIMP, there is a select to alpha option, but you can use the magic wand in photoshop. Then you make the selection white, but don't deselect. Make a new transparent layer under that one and (With the selection still there) fill the selection in with the color of choice. Yarbone chose a shade of purple. Then, you blur the colored layer to your hearts content!

NOTE: I am sure that Yarbone actually did it differently than what I would do. Instead of putting the new layer UNDER the white one, he put it above it and filled the selection in with color. He would then blur it so it would spread out from the original selection (Or he would expand the selection a few pixels and then fill in the color so the spreading is already done). He would then (I'm guessing) give the layer a viewing setting like Overlay or Colour (Different settings could produce the same results as other setting from changing the opacity of the layer).

*Cough*. I didn't mention the font yet... Oh fine! He could have typed in the word(s) he wanted (The 'LittleBigPlanet' on his sig is in a Visitor 1 or 2 font, but I don't know the other one) and then made a selection around it by using the 'Select to Alpha' way (If you didn't read ALL OF my earlier bit, I will quote it for you "In GIMP, there is a select to alpha option, but you can use the magic wand in photoshop.") and then shrink your selection by about 1 or 2 pixels (For his text that is. The more you shrink it the bigger the border around the text.), then fill it with the color of your choice.

Thats a long, boring post eh? Well, once I got into it I couldn't stop :3. Also, there is a tiling effect in either GIMP or Photoshop (It would be under 'Filters', and under another subcategory but I dunno) that Yarbone has used. Look around for it if you like the effect.
