Im only in the Serpent Shrine Uncle Jalapeno level but I finished it and can't continue with the story.

Side Q: Is there a guide to find all the items?

Wait, you defeated the Sherriff, and got to the scoreboard, and had the Uncle there with his car?

No guide anywhere on the net yet, there is an official one to purchase, but I'm sure free of charge ones will be out on the net soon enough, people are busy beavering away at them as I type.

As for the game, are you sure you finished the level? Got to the scoreboard? If you can't get any further, run through the level again, it may complete a second time around.
