View Full Version : Skwerl's Birthday Bash!

:pOk, to start off, this will be a prequel to my remake of "LittleBigHouse" - the end being exiting a tree and LittleBigHouse starting outside trying to get back in.

SO - since sackpeople are so tiny, I decided that tiny animals are probably their friends (makes sense to me :p ) At the entrance, you drive in on an acorn cart with presents either behind it or on it. When you reach the other parked acorn cars, the presents get slingshotted ahead to an unknown area.

Once you enter the tree, you have started the party. Each room would basically be a party game that you can do, and if you do a special thing in each room, the presents at the end of the game open (one present per objective) and prizes and bubble are waiting. Please help on the rooms, I'm trying to get enough to make a full level :)

Room One - make sure the guests get to the party! : Once you enter, there is a lone skwerl. He tells you his guests are having a hard time getting to the party and you need to help. This room is fairly large with balloons to take you up to help the skwerl's that are stuck get down to the party. You only have to rescue 5 to continue, but if you rescue more, you get the prize at the end.

Room Two - (not sure about this one) make sure the decorations are set! : The room is looking pretty bare, but a few stickers should spruce it up! There are 10 hidden sticker switches, but as long as you try to cover the area, they should all easily go off.

Room Three - Party Game 1 : This whole level is done with a jetpack. You have to get 7 pieces of the birthday cake and place them together. The cake is large so the pieces fit well together.

Room Four - Party Game 2 : This room if FILLED with pinatas (like the cat in the previews and others know from BoomTown) with 3 cats filled with a switch to pull over to get the door open.

I was also thinking of any areas where I could add some oldschhol platforming (like running across the birthday table with things blocking and hindering you) but this level still needs LOTS of help! Please post if you have any ideas I could use, or if you think one of mine stinks :D Thanks!

PS I know I mispelled squirell - it's on purpose :p

I approve of this =) I can't wait for online create mode to be up.
(also, it's actually Squirrel, not squirell :p)

How bout some version of musical chairs? You could have a bunch of emitters hooked up to timed switches. As you run around the emitters make noise and suddenly as you run past one the music stops and some key appears or something. When you run by with the key some other "chair" is triggered giving you access to another key. Just a rough idea but it might work if fleshed out.

I like that :) I'm gonna start laying out the level today - probably gonna be similar to the Meerkat level.

Pin the tail on the donkey. Sackboy picks up a sponge with a spike on it and has to carry it across a series of obstacles without getting stuck by his pin or other peoples that they've left lying around or are moving. Pushing the pin into the donkey pressess a switch that moves the donkey's legs and lets sack boy thru to a previously closed area
