Making an elevator

I need help on how to make an elevator a certain way, I have a two doored elevator, when you enter my elevator, a wench brings down the door to shut it, while the other door is attached by two dissolve materials, a bunch of tools are used to have the elevator rise to the next floor, where I will have a switch to have the dissolve material.... dissolve. Causing the door to drop, now this is where my problem is. I need to have a door come in to act as a platform for you to walk on. Any tips on how I can do such a thing? If you need more information or if this is too confusing I'll try to draw a picture.

Couldn't you use a magnetic switch on the door that's falling away to initiate the extension of the platform?
