View Full Version : Creating Invisible Pistons

I am using pistons quite a bit in the level i am currently working on, (all i have is 2 challenges, a bridging phase, the finally, the 15-minute timer(need to place that when i am all done), and do some final sprucing of the level) but yeah

If you were to set a piston down and lets say put it on a block of dark matter and another on a block of sponge or wood or stone or metal or something like that and set the minimum length for the piston to 0.0 and then set the max to whatever you want and when you close PopIt there should be no more piston left for you to see, well you will see that it still works but is invisible. Just do not revearse it or do anything like that or else it will no longer work but you can make it stiff (well atleast this works in my game)

hope this brews some creative and alluring ideas

I saw this. The piston isn't actually invisible, but the game glitches and sets the piston's model to be always be retracted. If you look you can see the two ends of the piston on the moving object... but obviously less noticeable than before. Another option is to just hide the piston =P

What I mean by that is put something in front of it. Though, that might be a bit difficult depending on the situation.

well the piston does become invisible because after you set it in motion and go up to it and zoom in all the way with your PopIt cursor you can not longer see the piston there, the minimum just has to be at ZERO and you are now unable to see it, go check it out and what i said should be true but if you do put your cursor over it then you can still select it you just can not see it ;) and yes you do see both of the ends but that is about it. Go check it out
