I have a problem, im trying to make a door with a key that has a switch on it that opens the door ( or makes it go up ), every time i do it with the switch and key switch, is doesn't work, can someone please help

I assume you are saying you are using a magnetic switch right?
Just try the simple things like

Have you attached the switch to the piston/winch that is controlling the door
Is there anything in the way and stopping the door from lifting
Are you using the same colour switch and key
Is the radius set big enough to pick up the key
Is the switch set to the right option (as in is it off/on or directional)

This is going to sound like a really "dumb" question.. but what is the door actually doing?
Does it go up and not down, down, nto up, or doesn't move at all.

Well as i said it's hard to say what might be wrong as every situation in LBP is unique to it's surroundings.
Have you used these tools before and they have worked for you, or is this your first try at this type of mechanism
