Batman - Mission Arkham

Hey all. I posted this level during the Beta. After the full game launch, I went in and did another 6 or so hours of editing and put it up again over the weekend.

Here's the Beta version without any of the music, lighting, or other fanciness:

Some of you may have played the stage (it was up on the front page of Cool Levels and hit 75,000 plays), but it got taken down yesterday by moderators. Not entirely sure why, but I suspect copyright issues. I tried posting it again, but it was taken down a few hours later. This leaves me to question what exactly constitutes fair use here.

If you did play my level, let me know what you really liked about it; what you thought could have used some work; if you thought it should have been up for Level Showcase or not; if you would like me to redo the level without any of the Batman-ness in order to get by the moderators; or if you just think it's unfair that it got removed.

I liked it a lot. and that pretty stupid how your level got deleted. but i enjoyed it alot

The level looks good, but I don't like the fact that it's about a superhero :(

I thought it was awesome the first time I played it but, something broke the last time I played it. Probably one of the re-ups. The swinging thing near the entrance was broken as well as something toward the end. The thing that may have really set off the ban hammer was probably the pictures. Maybe they'll let it slide if you used self-made caricatures.

On a side note, I played as my Joker Sackboy... the story seemed a bit flawed when I had to confront myself. :-p

Played through both versions, the oldschool Batman theme heard playing during the Batmobile sequence kills me everytime (not literally though, don't worry, I got through the stage just fine).


The level looks good, but I don't like the fact that it's about a superhero :(

It was a great level. Shame about it being taken down. One has to wonder if it is the actual pics you used or the fact that it has the characters in there at all. MM haven't been clear on exactly what constitutes breaking the terms on there.

We're reviewing the moderating system currently to provide better feedback on why levels are moderated. Primarily, any level that is reported using the grief tool will be checked over by a moderator, at which point they'll examine it in line with the EULA. If a level is found to be in violation of the EULA it will be moderated and you'll receive a message to that effect.

We're moving towards a system where additional information is given, however for the time being if you don't want your level moderating avoid anything unsuitable for users of all ages and copyright content.

Unfortunately it is mate, that thread I posted has a lot of info on what's going on and there are a couple more about it as well. Not a lot of happy campers out there regarding this and I can't blame them. This is what happens when the guys in the legal department get involved :( I feel bad for MM as they will cop flak for this when it is Sony being Sony.

that level was pretty cool....i couldnt get over the lightning logs so i didnt have a chance to beat it...i was looking for it but couldnt find it late yesterday
