View Full Version : Order of Creation?

So after sitting at the one level mark for a few months, I wanted to at least try to create another level soon (also Black Ops is getting kinda boring :p). However, any time I start creating, I just seem to give up after a little bit into the level and I'm never satisfied with what I created.

I have a solid idea for a level, but I was wondering, what order should I create it in? Should I do purely gameplay first, or gameplay with a bit of necessary scenery and then add to it, or just build the whole thing as I go? Are there any tricks or anything to get started with a level?

Also, while I have some basic ideas for the level, it will be multi-themed (a few completely independent themes tied together by by the story) and I was wondering, are there any original themes left? Anyone got any ideas? Because without DLC, all the material, music, and sticker combinations I can think of have been used, and most over used. I mean, I don't just want to create another space or jungle level like the hundreds there are out there.

Create it inthe order you would play.
But senics or gameplay, very much depends on what the item/s is/are.
But if making it look nice affects the way it works then make sure you keep it working.
