Sticker Cutouts

Is there a way to have a sticker cutout its shape on a flat object? I notice when you place a sticker it is surrounded by rough angular lines. And the story levels feature a lot of flat "sticker objects" which are just stickers on flat surfaces shaped as the sticker. Is there a way to automatically cutout a shape to fit a sticker? Or do you need to trim away the shape for every one?

There is no way to do that. What I'd do is make a square piece of cardboard (stickers show up very well on cardboard) and then use the corner adjustment tool to shape the object.
