Online safe?

Hello and whats up gadders,
I disconnected my fat PS3 from the network prior to install (as many posts recommended) and uploaded my entire profile and levels with zero issues. I have been playing some story mode levels and all of the tutorials so now I'm ready to link up with some friends. But I am afriad of some ill effects that the online play may cause. Is it even "safe" or should I be humble and continue to enjoy my bug free state?

-and is it true that you can not modify your earth unless you are connected to the network??

I've been playing online the whole time & everything works fine. I haven't played with anyone else yet though, so i'm not sure if playing with other people will make something happen or not.

4-5 crashes in 2 hrs... the Beta was more Stable

Wow, thats not cool....Ive been on for at least 6 hours between the moons tutorial and story mode. I think I will stay off the network until the coast is clear. I will continue to gather my goodies, enjoy create mode, and purchase the week 1 costumes while off of LBP via the PS store later on. Its like half of us are hiding from the Negativitron until the chaos settles.

-Still wondering, no earth personalizing while offline?

I get a 5 min loading screen when joining friends sometimes :S

I had 2 crashes in a row at first (I was offline), but I was able to solve it by declining to import my lbp1 profile at first, going through the intro, and then importing it. Since then, I've been playing online and several hours of that were with a friend. Didn't have any problems. Of course, all of that was in story mode (haven't touched create yet).

I had indefinate loading a few times online. I made a few attemps to play community levels, only worked once, single player. Playing story levels multiplayer worked some of the time.

Online/ offline have nothing to do basically, its mostly wether you're with somone else online or not.
I've no problems online alone, its when I joined others than the problems happened, and not always.

Your Craft Earth is only accesible while connected to the servers, so if you can't access it, then you can't decorate it while offline.

By the way, if you're worried about your profile, it never hurts to make regular back ups. I haven't got the game yet, but I assume this functionality is still there. :)
