The title says it all. I've seen it in both community and MM levels and I'm wondering how it's done. I've tried stickering gas and stickering objects before changing them but to no avail.

There are specific colored glass materials, you pick them up in prize bubbles. Play the story mode more; I think you pick them up in the Wedding.

I think we've got some confusion here between colored GAS and colored GLASS.

I'm not sure how to change the color of toxic GAS but I'd suggest try some colored lighting. Also the color correction of your level is going to have a big impact on what things look like. I have'nt played with it too much but it might be worth experimenting with.

Changing gas' color is as simple as tweaking bolts.
So go to the tweak menu for gas and it will give you 6 colors to choose from.

Whoa what? I tried that multiple times, but it doesn't seem to have a tweak menu.

I tried that but I didn't realise you had to do it before you changed the object. Thanks

You have to hit the tweak button (square) BEFORE assigning the horrible gas to an item. So first select the tool, then hit the tweak button, then click the object to turn into gas. You can't change the color after it's placed.

you select gas, the tool and before you press anything press SQUARE and you can change the color

was wondering this myself.
i am currently making a sun boss for my level and wanted to have a red gas effect around it but it kept coming up green
now it will look sweeter!!
