i am not the best a creating music. i am ok with making simple beats, but they really lack depth most of the time and detail.

what i am asking, is if someone has enough experience with creating music that they can make a dark, eerie and ambient soundtrack for my game "tremor shock".

something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6z_WSd0c4M

this piece really inspires me, but i can't get anything out because i lack experience and i believe music helps the experience tons. i really would appreiciate it if someone was willing to make ateast 10 tracks, all dark ambient, giving my game a specific vibe that people will remember, something that people will stop and listen to.

the composer will get all the credit he/she deserves in the credits.

Wow, that type of song is EXACTLY what I am looking for. I need a background song for my space level (and there are some very long voyages), so something similar to that song would be perfect.

..Shouldn't this be in the thing called the "Help" thread? Or "Find other happy gadders"?

I have a really good track that I just made, but it might not be what you're looking for. I will make a new one hopefully by tomorrow, and you can add me and check it out.

sure ill add you, and if its good ill tottally consider putting it in my level. you will get full credit and freedom of the music (except going outside the dark ambient genre)

I would love to use that too, in fact I create music all the time. But, this is nearly impossible because all the instruments on the Music Sequencer are synthesized. I really hope they release DLC for like orchestra instruments. The instruments are too limited.

I compose various styles of music, including dark ambient, and would love to be involved in the creation of a game. I've done film, but never had the honor of working with interactive media. The last dark ambient album I created can be streamed on Soundcloud (http://soundcloud.com/nickolman/sets/smear-campaign/) for reference. The album does not focus as much on percussive hits as the original linked piece does, but I have an extensive library of sounds for creating a similar atmosphere.

Oh Dear Lord...

Well I won't be sleeping again for a while. That's just about as dark as it gets... Very nice work.

this music style is nearly perfect, it really describes what my game is about. dark metal corridors, bottomless pits, something lurking around every corner.

ill add you on psn, if your music is just as good as this, i will totally consider adding it in.

Thank you! I'm rather fond of the darkness. It's interesting that some people find the pieces eerie and some find them relaxing. I guess it just depends on what it stirs up in your mind.

I'm wondering now if I may have misunderstood how the music needs to be created for the game. I just looked over at your project page which was linked in your signature and it seems as though having Little Big Planet 2 is required for everything, even the music. I was thinking the music files could be created through any music program and uploaded. I found the post through a Google alert for "dark ambient", so I had no knowledge of the development environment. I apologize for my confusion on this, I've never encountered this type of process before.
