Ive just created my first level and would very much like some feedback on how people feel about it. Is it too easy/hard. Too basic etc.

wasn't able to get to far right after the block on chain at begin coming up out of that flib plank the fire lock always had a perfect kill shot on me

It was alright - the music was a bit monotonous. :\
Some more decorations would be nice, too..
and the guy at the end swearing at us is just wrong. >_<

Hi! I played your level and I thought it was really good. The platforming was great. Although, as Derejin said, it could use some more decorations. I think any profanity means a level removal(don't quote me on that, I just think so).

Proves what a bad mouth I am I guess, I did not realise that was profanity. I will remove it when I get on next.

TSFRJ - I'm not entirely sure what happened here. If you stand in the alcove bit where the door is the flame ball should not hit you. Then its just a quick run to the bouncer.

Derejin - I agree with the comment of the music, I just thought it was because I had heard it way to much making the level.

As for the decoration then yes I will take a look at this. I made a few little extra props but maybe it could do with a bit more for the eye.

A great little platformer with lots of potential. It could be made better by making it easier maybe? Like with more checkpoints? Love the idea though. :)

EDIT: I couldnt get far after when you have to pull the chain on the block. It gets a perfect shot on me & you could add in a checkpoint around that area?

Ok after the comments I've changed the following.

1. Added two new checkpoints. One by the fireballs.
2. Slowed the fireballs to shoot once every 3.5secs rather than 3secs.
3. Added a sign later on to show of dangerous gas.

I gave this a go last night and I got stuck at the beginning with those fireballs too so I can't really comment much on the level, the difficulty sure seemed high
I hope those added checkpoints are where I was having difficulty I would hope if so you've at least placed a double life checkpoint there.
I'm not sure how anyone has managed to complete the level with those fireballs but well maybe it's just a case of luck or bad luck as to when you move the chain but I too kept getting up there to be instantly hit with a fireball wtihout a chance.

Very nice level. The cactuses brains were hard to see though, so I couldnt really kill them.

Ok I will give those a look sometime 2moro. I agree they probably are a little on the small side. You can still kill them but they don't stick out enough over the wood to be all that noticeable.

This level is oh so frustrating!! I did get there in the end though, and was therefore doubly satisfied. I do think it is possibly still a little hard - for example I found it really difficult to kill the green monsters, as you could hardly see their brains, is there a way to make them a bit bigger? I liked the layout of the level though, and there were some good traps etc.

Lets start out with i think the choice of music is good. The fiery balls at the beginning are tricky but not too hard. The lil jungle king guy was nice. The decor and layout so far is consistent and well done. Im obviously playing as im typing. I like how you made use of the fire on fire off thing on this bridge. pretty neat.Also your ladders throughout the level look really nice as well. I loved how the jungle king makes appearances throughout the level. Only thing i could say that coulda made this better was maybe make it longer, bc the level was so much fun i wish it hadnt ended so soon. >.<

Ok the brains have now had there size increased and are a lot more visible.

PurpleIris- Thank you for the feedback, it was very appreciated. Yes the level is a little short, maybe a good thing seeing the problems people have experienced :p As it was my first level however I did not want to make it too long. It was mainly to give myself some experience at making levels and getting used to the tools. Therefore hopefully any future levels wont run into the same problems this one had.

This is a good level with some well tought out traps but i did die a bit unfairly sometimes. On the part with the rolling fireballs near the beginning the camera doesnt show you the position of the fireball well enough so i think you should put a camera that follows you less and is zoomed out a bit more. Also i think the brain of those green monsters with the spikes rotates a bit too slowly. Other than that i really liked the challange of this level. It looks quite nice too.

Nice use of your time here, doing things like getting two traps out of one creation is smart, it makes you look like a pro. I like the theme and setting, jungles are always my favorite settings for games (like the jungles segment of Lost Planet 2, awesome), I don't know what to say, its a platformer, I've never really played a bad platformer, I usually like them all, and yours seems to be a step about most others mostly because of looks. thanks for the feedback on my level, I will take your suggestions into consideration when updating it.

Tried your level and i kinda enjoyed it. The only problems i found were that the level is kinda short and the Sackbot disappearing every time he said something. It was honestly quite weird to see him vanish in front of you and broke the immersion a bit. I also believe that the overall look could be improved with some more detailed backgrounds (like actual trees or buildings). Nice work!

Sorry it took me so long to get to your level. I do like what you've done. It was well put together. I would suggest replacing the infinite checkpoints with normal, maybe double, checkpoints. Also the green tube was tricky to get down so if that unintentional then you will want to look at it.

Nice platformer, a bit tricky at times but once you've got past those fireballs at the start which seem to have been an issue for a few people and subsequently fixed it's not too bad!

Couple of things, the bounce pads near the start wouldn't always send you where you needed to go, often sending you flying into the platform you were trying to get to. Maybe you could level them out a bit so you're sure you're going to get high enough to reach the next platform.
You should do more with the grapple section, from what i recall you get it and use it twice and thats it.
The wavy spike section was a good idea!

Apart from that, decent level.

ok but altogether it was agood level sry dunno what i could write. oh, and i yayed it :)

I felt it was quite short and the end seemed a little rushed...maybe overheating thermo?? I felt the baddies were actually quite inventive and creative. I saw a ton of spikes so I didn't go rushing over to them once I saw the pattern and there was a brain I jumped on it. very nice level of detail through out the level. the cage at the the end seemed quite out of place though. you should build like a wooden treasure chest or something else that fits with the rest of the ambiance.
