Recently I made an elevator that works pretty dang well and I thought I might as well tell everyone about it. (I'm sorry if someone's already made one )
It only has 2 floors right now.. but it works well. It also includes a concept 'callback' switch.
I can't post a video, sorry, but you can check it out by searching my name or 'Elevator Testing!' When you arrive at the level, go to the elevator on the right... the one on the left isn't what you're looking for.
How to use it:
Use the main switch inside the elevator to go up and down.
To use the 'callback switch':
[note: Basicly, the callback switch overrides all other elevator functions and brings it down to floor one. You must turn it back off to use the elevator normally again]
First, make sure the elevator is on the top floor (2). Then, pull the 'callback' switch near the scoreboard (to the right of the elevator).
Then, wait for it to come back down.
Flip the switch inside the elevator.
Finally, turn the 'callback' switch back off (left) to be able to use the elevator as normal again.
Not very efficent, I know, but its half a concept.
Unfortuately, I also could only make it call the elevator back to the ground. Doesn't work the other way because of the way the switches are. =|
I also didn't hide any of the switches and gave a jetpack so you guys can look at how it works. (If you want me to explain it instead, just ask, but at least take a look at it first)
Thanks for your time, give some feedback if you don't mind. :D
