This is a thread where I and You post some tricks or tips of LittleBigPlanet 2 that you want to share with other Happy or Unhappy Sacks.

I will start with some basic ones that could be useful sometimes.

:star: You can select multiple items with your popit by holding the R2 button. This can be very useful to tweak multiple components at the same time.

:star: You can turn tags On and Off now, this wasn't possible in LittleBigPlanet 1 and it can be very useful for objects that need to move to somewhere else in a level.

:star: You can edit the icons of Microchips! Just delete the the original sticker of the Microchip and then you can decorate it like you want! Very useful to know which Microchip does what, but you can use notes for that too.

:star: You can hide objects in create mode with L2 by hovering over them with your popit. If you want them to be visible again, press L1 and there they are!

:star: You can get a Preview of your level in Create Mode. Just press Start on your controller and go down a bit. Turn on the 'Preview' button. Now you can see your level like it looks in Play Mode, but you are still in Creat Mode.

:star: You can adjust the lenght of Music components and Sequencers? But not by pressing Left or Right. You have to press Up or Down to adjust the lenght. Very useful for a lot of things! From music composing to Long Speech Bubbles on a Sequencer.

These are some basic tips and tricks, but they surely are a pain if you didn't knew about them.
Did you got a trick or a tip? Post it here and help those other Sacks! :D

Really? Thanks, didn't know that :)

I think these are the other way around, butI'm not entirely sure.

I think there might have been other threads created like this one, but I'll join in the fun anyway :D

:star: You can reset the Angle, Position and Zoom level of any type of cameras by clicking down L3 or R3 (the sticks) when tweaking it's "Angle and Zoom".

:star: Placing an Anti-Gravity Tweaker on a Sackbot and setting it to 100% Anti-Gravity and 100% Dampening, will allow the Sackbot to survive underwater.

:star: If a player have several choices of Auto-Enter Controlinators available to them at the same time, you can set the seat priority by enabling the "transmitter" function on the seat and choosing a signal color. The signal color priority goes as: Blue, Purple, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and finally Teal.

NB: In english versions of the game, the "foretaste" option you speak of is called "preview".

Yeah, I was confused for a second. Most of the stuff in LBP is pretty nationality-neutral, but I'm glad they changed the name in the English, because "foretaste" sounds incredibly foreign here in the US.

I've been trying to get my head round that for ages, thank you ever so much.

Really? Wow dude:D, I keep that in my notes.

Not really LBP, but LBPC related.

*You can use te search function to look for threads of a certain subject, so you don't make duplicate threads. ;)

Please don't hate me for continuing a dupe thread, but I tend to find one or two things in these threads I didn't know....so here's one I personally didn't know, although most of you do I bet, and I don't know if it's exclusive to LBP2:
If you select an object to emit in your level, and keep the original object available in the same level, you can edit the original and the changes will be reflected in the emitted copies as well.

Argh! Second time I make a thread that already has been made! :p

you're hilarious Silverleon. Probably the shortest reply i've seen from you. The problem with LBPC's search function, is it's junk. I have, on numerous occasions, tried searching for a specific topic only to come up with 0 results. Then find that there are actually 30 posts/threads on the topic. So, while it is a good idea and highly recommended to do a search first, it is completely not accurate.

You may want to reword your search in many different forms then, to make sure that the topic hasn't already been discussed previously. Remember, not everyone thinks the same way you do, so wording your search differently would be a good way to check.

I get better results searching google with "site:lbpcentral.com" and some search terms.

Got a tip ;) :

If you've already placed down a sticker, you can duplicate it by PRESSING L3! When duplicating, you can press L3 to keep stikering multiple times. If you press X whilst duplicating, the sticker will be placed and ends the duplication. :) Hope this helps :D

I started a Tips&Tricks thread also, a while ago; so for anyone searching, here are a bunch of tips (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?47043-Did-you-know-that...-(tidbits-of-logic-I-learned)).

:star: If your auto-mounting controlinator suddenly appears to stop sucking your sackboy in, go to its options, uncheck the auto-mount option and check it back on again. It should work again.

:star: If you use the feature to capture objects from the emitter options, emitted objects get updated when you change the captured object; unless you take the object apart somehow, then you may need to recapture.

:star: Following that, you may like to have a captured and emitted object to spit out emitted objects by itself. When you change the second generation, it may be updated within the emitter of the first generation but it will not trigger an update in the parent object that emits the first generation; you will have to recapture the first generation for this to happen.

:star: Emitted objects of the second generation may go up in smoke when they expire their emitter's lifetime setting, regardless of the transition you chose; if this is a problem, you can get around that by setting its lifetime to infinite and put logic on the second gen object to kill itself after a set time (timer); when the second gen object kills itself it will honor the set transition on its tweaker instead of going in a puff of smoke.

:star: Impact sensors are way more accurate than tag sensors. If accuracy matters in your setup, try and see if you can use impact sensors combined with tagged 0% brightness holographic material (invisible) to kickstart your logic.

Wait, I thought R2 switched pages in popit....

:star: If your auto-mounting controlinator suddenly appears to stop sucking your sackboy in, go to its options, uncheck the auto-mount option and check it back on again. It should work again.

This happens because of the range setting on the controlinator. If you hover out of the seat and don't leave the range it wont pull you back in when you leave hover mode. You have to leave and re-enter the range to re-activate.

I have absolutely no clue about what you said about R2 selecting multiple things in popit, can you elaborate?

I think what he meant was that with your popit cursor you can select multiple objects in your level, not that you can in your popit menu.
