Ok, I was thinking that, if you were to have a beta of a level, then you would obviously need to either invite people to your pod to test it out, which ruins the point of seeing if people without knowing your level can do it without you showing them how to, or send them a level key as an object and then they have to use that key in a level on their moon and then search for your level.

While I personally think the major problem lies in the planet system of different things randomally on a planet, I was thinking thus: You can use a new feature to send a level to someone with a PSN ID, or check them off from your friends list. It will show up on their LBP Messages, which I believe is only currently used for other people's items.

So, you send them your level via LBP Messages, then they download it- depending on MM (or perhaps Sony's...) choice, it will either appear on your moon, or there will be a new tool for Cool Levels where you see the levels you unlocked via level keys, or just ones sent to you.

So, hope that makes sense, and that it's not already old. Basically sending them game data like items, only now with levels...

Send them a special sticker that activates a switch that makes the level playable. Otherwise, the person can't play.

See, while that may work, it would just also be worse then just being able to send it to someone.

Sending it to someone would have big problems in my eyes, it would just take too long for MM to make this up, and where would the level go? If it was to go somewhere new, that would even take more time from MM, it just doesn't seem that important, I want to see stable servers and fixing all the glitches before any of this. IMO of course :p

I'm fairly satisfied with my solution of having a password machine at the start of a level I want to beta. I just send the code to the people I want to have access and it's all set.

It would be fun if there was an in-game way of doing this, but I really don't see it as much of a problem.

I don't see an issue here. When I want to show people stuff, I'll just invite them in and say "I'll follow your lead" and I let them do everything so it's tested properly but keep behind them all the time. That way you can see how they deal with the level and whether it needs adjustments.
