How come Clive is so awesome?

Personally, I think Clive is the most epic creator curator so far in LBP history. A lot of other people adore him too. But why? Why is he so spectacularly epicsauce with bacon on the side? That question is bugging me 24/9. I think it's because he's so pathetic and wimpy. :)

Why do you guys like Clive? Say your opinion and/or reasoning in the comments my friends. :p

I think we identify with Clive because of all the characters (aren't they each supposed to represent a sort of self-obsessed pride or something that feeds the Negativitron?), he's the defeated pathetic whelp. He used to be great, and that greatness was what made him a jerk. He's not a jerk now, he's humiliated: just a little man, sitting in a can. If it weren't for Sackthing coming along he'd still be sitting there. It's heartwarming. We want to help Clive. Everyone else is just some obnoxious character. (I skip over all the cutscenes, except for Clive and the Factory). He also, by virtue of being so incredibly depressed, has no emotional filter. He doesn't care about the situation, he'll say things flat out, and he's not often wrong. He's the only character to use sarcasm. And when he's happy (in those very rare moments in the story when he smiles) it's really cute.

I guess it is kinda funny when he's happy. I think it's his face :)
And pretty much every time you see Clive he says or does something funny. Like in the final level, he's in the second part of the battle. When the camera is on Clive, it makes a high pitched scream. ;)
And he's the only one who makes sense. :p

(PS- Have you noticed that on Clive's sackbot animation, when the sackbot's emotion is neutral, it has a small frown? Pretty useful :)

what arbiekko said plus the fact of his levels being one of the more visual and gameplay apealing. i mean, his levels are sorta the "canyons" for lbp2, right? i hate-er i mean "dislike" the canyons. i love clives levels. the retro feel he has is completely awesome (and im suprized it was CLIVE'S levels to be using bombs, i thought it would be like, avalonia, or the cosmos) and if someone made a series in clives theme and gameplay type, im sure they'd get a BUNCH of plays. plussss~
:) i've noticed along with sarcastic, sillyness and a good sense of humor, he is compassionate, he feels guilty. and he has a lot of metiphorical bits in him. like how his charater seems plain and type of a "square", his heads a square.
AND(lol) one last thing, is it me or do you notice something? clive, eve and victoria:
they all have singing(vioces)in their songs,
they all have a creative artstyle to their levels,
thier designs all incorporate thin arms, legs, ex. to give a crafty feel.
not saying that clives one of the girls, lol :D but its something to think about.
oh and, another point, for fan service here, usually girls dont get as many fans as guys do. clives a guy, so it make loving his character even easier :p
and i think clives an interesting character because there's more than meets the eye, after playing his levels a few times you notice little thing that fills his persionality.

long story short: he's an intersting, funny, and silly character. ;)

There is absolutely nothing awesome about Clive. He has a unique design, but it's nothing special. He is a bland character who's only popular because he's popular. He's basically the Chuck Norris of LittleBigPlanet.
