Bored of Earth? Me too, so let THe EGG take you someplace more...colourful.

Welcome to Mars! This is a fun, funny and darn tricky 1 player platformer. Use L1 to move platforms and avoid smelly peril.

Burp and fart you way through the landfills of mars as you accidently trackdown space bandits and hotdogs! Featuring outlandish colours, a massive end of level BOSS and mega soundtrack courtesy of weirdybeardy, hug-o-war and festered jester. Big thanks to aratiatia, karpethead, r0t_in and sports dude for the help and play testing!

Hope you enjoy! Go SPaCE POLiCE!

Wow! I loved this! I haven't played any of your other levels, but I certainly enjoyed this one. I really liked the style and you made great use of the sticker panel to create the cartoony feel. There were also a lot of hidden secrets and places to explore, at least for the most part. And while I didn't think the moving platform gimmick was completely original, it was incorporated very well.
Probably the only complaint I have is that while the beginning of the level felt open ended and I could explore around, the level become more structured and linear later. I felt like you probably got a little lazy when I saw the choice between going the "easy way" and capturing the criminals, even if that was intended to be humorous.
Also, the level was a bit on the difficult side, but I think that's perfectly fine. I kind of miss being frustrated at a level because I keep on making dumb mistakes. I think the gravity change kinda through me off. Anyways, at least you included tips, even if they were fairly obvious ones
I thought the boss fight was brilliant! It was a nice culmination of everything I learned earlier in the level, and it was difficult and frustrating (in the good way)!
I truly enjoyed this. It's nice to see levels like these are still being made - levels with fun gameplay aspects that look beautiful!

F4F level is in my signature!

man, I really like this level! I love your design style and this one rocked it! Great story filled with humor and good gameplay. I loved the puzzle platforming and the boss was cool. Capturing the bad guys was an great idea as was the picking up the extra points. Excellent work on this!

Man I don't know where to start with this really lol, this level was just fun and amazing. I like how clean it looked and the music went perfect with this level. I like the cartoon feel the level had and the timing on some areas was nice and perfect. Boss fight was fun nothing to hard or difficult. Yay and <3 from me.

Played this recently and it was a lot of fun :)

Top notch gameplay combined with pleasant and clear cartoonish like design with a nice lil story. I did manage to fall to the floor (may have uploaded a pic, cant remember :s) but it was just at the first green grabby thing (could drop and go left and fall to the ground, which meant a restart as the first checkpoint had fallen to the floor also - a destroy I assume).

The only thing I would have liked is some points added for taking the hard routes ;)

A positively easy yay from me!

Brilliant! Great reflex based platformer! Every puzzle got harder and harder but it was never to the point to where it was unfair or overly frustrating. Great visuals. Great humor. Good job I hope this gets more plays.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Makes me happeee :P

@crazy mario - great feedback thanks! there is quite different gameplay at the start but i was having so much fun making the mars landscape! i was a bit worried about the linear 'left to right' style of the level - think if i made it again (and had thermo) i would put in a big drop bit where yoiu have to move platforms/spikes as you fall.

i like to give people the option of doing the harder bits as some people love em and some dont. i like the way you can bypass the baby bit but the last room is in all planes so i could n't do the same. I tried to to make it kinda funny and pretty to make up for the unsubtle choice.

Hints are unsublte but you have to ask for them and they are given by THe EGG so... :)

@masseyf - good spot! i shall have to ask you to play test the next one - i read you review when you first made it on the level and republished the level with the gap fixed straight away! there is bonus for taking the hard way - you get points for the bad guys BUT i noticed the sensor on the baby wasn;t picking up so this is now fixed too!

I've F4F the zombie caverns and have queued rocky desert swarm for tomorrow - looks intense!

I just got through playing this level. This was one of the most original and unique levels I have played. Gameplay was tricky in some areas, but I made it. If I can make it, it's not that frustrating. Very fun to play. You did a good job on everything. Thanks for sharing this with the community :)

My F4F is Oil Refinery 2, if you are still doing it.

thanks garak - glad you made it! I tried to make it tricky but doable so thats wicked :)

F4F done on The Zombie Caverns and Rocky Desert Swarm and i will play Oil Refinery as soon as i find a friend!

I always do my F4F and try and give a detailed feedback - if anyone else wants me to play their level just let me know!

I just checked it out... Fantastic work there. I love the fun atmosphere of the level. Everything looked so cleanly sculpted. The music was actually quite entertaining as well so I did stick around at the end for a bit. I have just one suggestion though... in that area where you capture the last bad guy I say only have the one checkpoint... I captured him and was so excited but then I had to traverse my way back across the area... Granted, forcing the player to make their way back does require more skill. I dunno. Maybe the second checkpoint works out there. Forget I said anything.

As for the F4F... I've got a couple of levels that need some love and attention... Feel free to pick one... or both. I'm in need of some tips, suggestions, etc. so I can enhance the levels.

Just played this level and its GREAT. The first thing I noticed was I really enjoyed exploring through the landscape of spunky colors. Going out of my way to get all the hot dogs. People mentioned it reminds of them of a cartoon and it really does. The gameplay is fun and challenging. The game requires good reflexes and timing, which sadly I lack. I died a lot. Especially at the boss section, but that was my favorite part. I loved it, but sucked at it heh. Very nice level!

If you could check out my level for f4f in my signature.

Got a chance to play last night... there's a lot that I loved about this, but I thought that you had a standout grasp on level progression... I loved that the puzzles had a nice difficulty progression. I also liked that you inserted hints and "wimp paths" for those who weren't able to overcome the super hard bits. My hands had a really tough time getting through the bit where you have to grab swing across the bottom of a platform while simulataneously moving the platform up and down with your remote thingy. I wasn't about to take the "wimp path", but the fact that it was there was excellent... it encourages players to take more risks with your level... kudos for that.

I'll be going back this weekend to finish the level.

Thanks HeySK and Greensmury, glad you liked it :)

Yep, i'm a big fan of the optional paths - mainly coz i can;t help make stuff really tricky!

I'm a big music fan so i'll be sure to check out your music box smurfy :)

done F4F on another 2 levels (pixel art and geometry wars) but i've not forgotten about you garak! I just have no friends ;)

THe EGG, this was an amazing level. I loved the visual design, and your twist on use of the platforms was brilliant. I also find the quirky humor refreshing, and it made the level that much more enjoyable. Your placement of some of the hot dogs added a nice level of challenge to obtain them, and my favorite parts involved getting the timing down when jumping or grappling to a platform while changing it's direction...fun and not too frustrating.

This level is totally brilliant.

The level design, the pacing, the art design, the funny story. It all adds up to be a great experience for the player. It is challenging, but not frustrating. I liked that you added a few alternate paths, or "easy way". I actually used one of those at one point. Hahaha!!

Great job! Hearts all around for you.

Great level EGG i loved its unique design and gameplay.

Great colorful level, a little bit difficult but that's ok :) couldn't ace it yet.

I never took the easy way, so my *** got owned many times :)

Cracking artwork and good fun.

I made a couple of Mars based levels on LBP 1. Yours blows them away though. Fantastic stuff.
