This is a really neat level! The design is friendly and fun. I did find a couple of troubles spots though for you to check on... In the area where you find the bounce pad and access the soap and fish the camera was too zoomed out and there was too much going on in the screen. As a result, many of the background images were failing to function normally and I ended up with a lot of yellow exclamation signs signifying a failure to load. I suggest you zoom in the camera since you have the sackbots running around up there. I also found that if you walk and grab the lanterns in the area immediately after you change back you can drop into the water and under the buildings... I couldn't find a way out so I popped myself. I'd just move the lanterns to the same plane as the player and raise them up a bit to avoid this (or use a material tweaker and make them so that players can't grab them. You did a good job of hiding the first level link so the flow of the level was maintained... I suggest you hide the second one too.
Once it got to the platforming area the level picked it up a notch. The visuals were awesome and the music and sounds complimented the area quite well. I loved the bells too... I do hope to avenge carrot-head someday.

Enjoying the hot bubbles :p

I'll be sure to check out your other levels soon... I've hearted you so I won't forget. Great work!

As for the F4F... Please feel free to check out one (or both) of my levels (http://lbp.me/u/forevertuesday/levels). They're described in my level thread (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?72941-Metal-Gear-Sackboy-Unraveling-Stitches). You'll find some pics there too.

Cheers!

Thanks for the nice feedback & good suggestions, forevertuesday. I'll be sure to implement them.

Great you like running around my world. Be sure to check out the other ones (and use some of the custom stickers for getting to the secret areas.)
The poor pygmie Carrot-head MUST be avenged... some day (just about as fast as I can keep crancking out these levels...)

I'll check out your metal gear sackboy levels and get back to you!

No problem. I didn't have my "Collect Community Objects" option turned on so I'll have to give it another run through. I recently spent some time using the "dive in" option and found that most people play really awful levels with random junk as prizes that you can't avoid.... ugh... Oh, and I appreciate your willingness to check out my levels. Act 2 is the best of the two levels but if you skip Act 1 you miss part of the story... Take your pick, no worries.

Yeah, 'dive in' lets you wade through a lot of junk, unfortunately.
I'll give both acts a try, of course, I like storytelling in LBP Levels.

Played the level bud. it was fun :) besides from the problems the other guy said. i found it was a bit troublesome in the bath area where i had to find the people stuff. it was to easy to fall in to the water and get yourself killed since you are controlling a sackbot at that time. you may want to try some invisible walls around the baths. if you decide to do that you can use the invisible material i gave you awhile back. *mew

Hey fumo, thanks for the review and heart!

I don't really like the use of invisible walls in the gameplay area: like an invisible hand holding back the player.

How's your Darethi project coming along?

Well, you were warned by Carrot-head in advance: avoid the water, or it will wash off your disguise and you'll be discovered by the guards... ;-)

Good luck with your project. Just hang in there.

Republished with a lot of small fixes, as suggested by Forevertuesday and Fumetsusozo. (Thanks guys!)

Moved the lanterns, hid the second levellink, fiddled with he cameras, added some thin gas to stop exploring sackling from layerchanging into the baths, added small walls adjacent to the tubs etc. Shoul be easier now to complete these small run and fetch quests.

This was a really great level. First of all it was pure eye candy. The Japanese inspired landscape was spot on. You sure know your way around when it comes to decorations. I can only dream of creating such detailed and artistic creations.

Gameplay was good. You threw some fun gameplay mechanics in the mix to keep everything nice and fresh.

The sackbots were hilarious. This almost felt like an RPG at times.

My favorite part is when you switched my character. That segment was a blast.

How many sackbots did you use in this level? They were all over the place, gadding about, doing their own little routines, awesome!

My only problem in this level was sometimes when the camera pulled back to far, some materials would disappear, and I would get those little yellow signs to pop up. That is a minor complaint.

Overall this level was a terrific surprise and I want to play the others too. :)

Hearted! <3

Hi pickled-punk,
I told it in another place, but I'm not tired to repeat it:
This is a very beautiful level with a high class design and a lot of fantastic details.
Love the visuals. If a level looks this way, nothing is wrong :)

Awesome job :D

I really enjoyed that, I think I'm gonna check out the rest in the series now so that I know what's going on. It was nice to play in that environment again, I haven't since LBP1

I forgot, I played this level a couple of weeks ago. Like what most players said in this thread, the visuals looked good. The theme in this level fitted well with sackbot NPCs and Japanese look. The gameplay is pretty simple, but there are some clever optional objectives that made this level more exciting. I found a bug, though. When I was close to the level link in the level's second part, I felt down to the outside of the level. Other than that, good level.
VISUALS: 4/5
SOUND: 5/5
GAMEPLAY: 4/5
OVERALL: A yay

Yes, I aim for that kind of RPG-vibe and try to create a world where you'd -hopefully- want to come back to. Do a bit of exploring in a town-quarter, then further the storyline a bit, hunt for some secrets etc.

Way too much sackbots, as usual... they soak up thermo, but I can't resist overpopulating my levels.

I thought I had gotten rid of all those flashing exclamation marks... I'll fiddle around with the cameras some more.

Thanks for the nice comments and heart! I hope you enjoy my other levels too.

I just republished the levels with a lot of small fixes and tweaks. Should be a more smooth walkthrough like this.

I just want to say that I love your Deliver me from Eve series. You truly created a world, not a mere level series. They truly seem like honest to god places and you should be commended for that. It's colorful, lively and atmospheric. Sure, the gameplay isn't super innovative, but the colorful array of characters and the interesting plot more than make up for that. Great job as usual.

This bathhouse / a slightly more depraved bathhouse bonner stars

Hey Bonner, thanks man! Coming from you that means a lot.

(Have you really scrubbed everywhere...?)

I've got my next level lined up. It's got a bit more platforming and stuff then I usually do. It should be out soon.
And working on my debut-Vita level as well. It is intended to tie into the Deliver me from Eve-storyline from another angle, but should be perfectly well be playable as standalone.)

Hey, MrTran here. Hard to find anything that needs fixing in this one. The bathhouse was really well done. The atmosphere was relaxing! I laughed a bit when I saw carrot-head behind the walls. He's really adamant about that carrot on his head, huh? :P The levels looked absolutely awesome, great GREAT use of the different kinds of building materials. Splendid job!
