View Full Version : Need some help making boats

I'm new at making levels in LBP even though I've played LBP1,2 and now Vita.
I was messing around with water today. The idea was to make a level where you play inside a ship while it was in the water (like ships usually are). I wanted to give people the expression that they were inside a ship with water surrounding it. My issue though is that the water (or ship/any other created objects) doesn't seem to "interact" with the water, instead I get this:

I made sure that the box was completely sealed with the exception of the top and while it does float there is still water inside it (similar issue I get when making a ship). In other words when I increase the water value it doesn't seem to care much about the objects in the level, instead it sort of just fills the screen as if I were making some sort of underwater sunken ship level.

So my question is, what do I do to make the ship/object actually interact with the water in a way so it isn't just full of it? What am I doing wrong? (I hope I made myself clear about the issue I'm facing).

I believe it is not very well possible what are you trying to do.
The LBP does not have a water physics. Some objects can float. But the water elvel will be always at the same height. You can not make it surround some object if Im not mistaken. You would probably have to keep the playable area above the water. Or maybe use some tricks to decrease the water level when you are going downstairs and move the camera so it is not obvious.
