Hello all!

I've been feverishly working away on a level that is far more involved (and hopefully more involving) than my previous efforts. Total build time is around 6 hours (not including an hour lost to my PS3 freezing!), though much of that was re-tuning and crafting a few unique objects used.

The level is called Alpine Acrobatics, and it is a quick ski-jump based game, because... well... why not? It's not a race; you just need to get the highest score, and each of the objects I made for the level are available as prizes throughout.

I would be super grateful if you could give it a go and leave me some constructive criticism. At the very least, I'm proud of it as a big step forwards anyways.

Got it queued my fellow sackfriend!!

EDIT:

ALright man so I played you track, I actually like the idea you created with this map its definitely original, also the atmosphere was believable( how'd you get the snow?) I felt like I was at a huge ski jump. I think you should just take more time and work on the visuals a bit more since some of the terrain was almost at its apex, it gave the appearance of being unfinished, the environment was still believable nonetheless.

As for gameplay I kind of see were you were trying to go with it. I'd try and push your abilities and build of what you have established here and make it a mini-game where we have to mash a button to see who can get the farthest off the jump.
All in all I enjoyed what you have done here with this track I can see the improvement in your tracks your getting better, with time will you get better we all will :) Keep at it man dont stop!!!!

Thanks for the feedback. You're right about the terrain obviously... due to the ski-jump nature, i was more often than not working at the highest level it'd let me go, so some mountains aren't too mountainous... which is a shame.

I love the mini-game idea... however I have no idea how to make that happen at the mo... so I'll have to do some research and then hopefully i can make it happen.

For the snow I basically looked at every background theme, and compared the different terrain materials available. I think the one I chose was in Victoria's laboratory. It looked like it was supposed to be cake icing possibly?
