Let's say you had to choose one of your favorite features, remove it, but replace it for a different feature.

Feature I'd remove: advanced glue
Replace it with: import stickers from HDD

You're supposed to remove features you like.

The most challenging thing for me would be to lose microchips. Just imagine the chaos.

I would really like a color-coded, text-based rewind function. Every time you PLACE an OBJECT it creates an entry in a text menu so you can jump back to it instead of hitting rewind 29 times trying to remember the order you did things.

Feature I'd Remove: Making things transparent

Feature I'd remove: Corner Edit tool
Replace it with: Flatten object to sticker

I'd remove: Slice Tool (grudgingly)
If I could have: move paint for sixaxis. - just a sticker creation tool that I can paint with stickers would do!

So we would have to remove a feature we actually like correct? Well I Would remove being able to play with other users. *mew

And I Would add being able to create your own 3D character models as costumes so we are not limited to whatever costume parts they decide to give us anymore.

I'm sorry, but if you removed the Corner Edit tool, comphermc wouldn't exist.

Then I guess we have to give up comphermc.
Need something particularly good to replace. :)

Add: Player light, so there's no need to use the controlinator to make one.
Remove: The copy option

Probably the ability to use a controlinator without getting on. That's how I made my Glow World level.

The concept, though novel, would never hold up. Not only would the interface for such a feature either be incredibly complex and have a steep learning curve (either that or be extremely limited in what it can actually create), but the amount of immature costumes involving various parts of human anatomy that we won't mention would start popping up everywhere.

Kids everywhere could create heinous additions to their emo scene costumes that are poorly made. Horribly made costumes, as far as the eye can see... All it would do is make LBP as bad as Second Life.

Now, as for what I'd add/remove... I would like to see arithmetic logic gates (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.) added. For this, I would be willing to sacrifice blue (X to activate) jump pads.

Haha I pity you if you truly think that. the only part you said that may be true is it maybe be hard to learn how to use it, but just like advance logic creation for complex levels. it may be hard but it would just be something you'd have to learn in time.. but considering this is LBP. I'm sure they would find a way to make it more simple just like the rest of level creation is compared to real game creation.

As for the rest of your comments, they don't hold up. we can already use deco as questionable parts to make X rated costumes and we can also craft adult content with materials and make X rated cardboard characters. so are you saying it's not ok for us to create adult content with costumes but it is with what we already have and can easily do? If so then that's some pure BS coming from you if i ever heard it. Just like now if there was some content that was to overly adult. then just like now it would get moderated.

And as for your dislike of EMo costumes, Haha do I even care? nope. but It's not like I want this so I can wear costumes anyways. I don't care what costume I wear myself. I want it for story characters in my levels only. so if they wanted to they could limit it to levels only and not let you be able to wear them which would be just fine by me. *mew

Look dude. I'd do anything for this feature. I'd give the company 10000$ if it meant being able to use my own character models. So trying to even remotely debate this subject with me will end in failure. it won't matter what points you'll try to bring to the table. I will easily find reasons to dismiss them. I'm not a expert costume creator for nothing. I sit here and think about these kind of things every single day. TBH I'd sell out half of the game's features for this 1 single feature happily. I would not care if doing so would make half the LBP community hate me. and yes i do mean that. *mew

And I'm starting to get the idea you like to start debates with me. would you please try not to do that?. + this is just a silly fun topic. I will never get the feature I so badly want into the game no matter how much i talk about it. so yeah I have at least my right to dream about them adding it. *mew

You have no idea how 3D art is created, do you? Trying to learn how to even use such a feature would be the equivalent of learning the most advanced analogue signal manipulations present with the current logic system, a feat that very very few people can claim to have done. What's the point of a feature if no one can even use it? LBP's target demographic is kids. Do you honestly expect kids to even touch that kind of complicated thing? They might be able to muster a cylinder or a cube, nothing more. Yes, they could simplify it, but simplification shares an inversely proportional relationship with creative power. In a nutshell, if they simplified it and made it easy to use for LBP, you wouldn't be able to create anything good with it.

You present a very valid point--while we can create "mature" content with the options already given to us, that creativity is highly limited. There are no stickers or decorations that accurately reflect mature subject matter, so the best anyone can do (besides "drawing" a sticker themselves) is make something that only looks sort-of like mature subject matter. If you were to put a model creator into the game, assuming any of the kids were actually able to utilize such a tool at all, the mature content could and would be much worse.

And as for your dislike of EMo costumes, Haha do I even care? nope. but It's not like I want this so I can wear costumes anyways. I don't care what costume I wear myself. Funny, I don't recall asking if you cared. I usually don't care what people think of my opinions, because that's all they are.

Look dude. I'd do anything for this feature. I'd give the company 10000$ if it meant being able to use my own character models. So trying to even remotely debate this subject with me will end in failure. it won't matter what points you'll try to bring to the table. I will easily find reasons to dismiss them. So you're telling me that you'd debate with me using your opinion against mine, which is also accompanied by logic and facts? And you think you'd win a fight like that? I have a different opinion than you. That doesn't mean that I'm trying to fight you. I hope you learn to see the difference.

And I'm starting to get the idea you like to start debates with me. would you please try not to do that?. + this is just a silly fun topic. I will never get the feature I so badly want into the game no matter how much i talk about it. so yeah I have at least my right to dream about them adding it. *mew

Really? Last time I checked, all I did was state my opinion, just as you have. You're the one who's trying to start some kind of childish debate. That's cool that you're so gung-ho about this feature existing, and I can respect that. I'm even glad that you acknowledge that this feature will never happen--I'm just telling you why it will never happen, and sharing my opinion on it.

Everyone has differing opinions. Arguing with me about my opinion won't change it, so what can you possibly hope to gain from this?

As I have no desire to argue with you about my own opinion I will not be returning to this thread, so don't bother trying to argue with me more. Stay on topic and move on, please.
