I wanted to take the idea of a basic competitive shooter and go for a Zombie theme, of course that's changing now as instead of blocky zombies you have skeletons and there are ghosts and other things. It is in its most basic stage right now, large portions haven't been designed yet. I am also thinking of adding extra tasks, maybe collections, so that you really use what you can of the arena.

More then likely the buildings will be modified to look more like, buildings. But this layout isn't difficult for the AI.

I LOVE this idea! If it were me, personally, I would go for a campy kind of 1950s B-movie aesthetic a la Day of the Tentacle/Maniac Mansion, or Zombie Ate My Neighbors. Just an idea; you could find much inspiration by Googling both of those. ;)

But as much as I love cult classics, I really like spooky. There are some things in here that might make you jump.

Next on the concept list is a fairground.

While I don't have the almighty Pyramid Head implemented, I should have something of the same idea.

You make the water red by adding in a Water Color Tweaker from the Global Setting's Tweakers in tools.

EDIT:

Here are a couple of objects I've made, I'm trying to individually do most things, that don't look good enough by default. You can kind of get a basic idea of the direction the arena is heading, aesthetically.

Edit 2:

I just finished the Ferris Wheel. I decided to make it broke down instead of functional due to not being able to thing of a way to get it to spin while the seats keep the gravity they would in the real world. But each light flickers randomly.

Big Update:

First let's talk logic and gameplay:

-I have added something called a "Memory" each memory is a prize giver, I am scattering them throughout the Arena, upon collecting each memory a meter will rise, informing you of how many (based on how full...) memories you have collected.

- Upon being killed you a skull will show in the center of the HUD (I plan to add "You Died" as well, to save intro note space).

Now onto environment:

- I have added rain throughout the arena.

- have added random lightening (striking noise and a flash throughout the arena) as well as random thunder. The lightening noise and flash apply at the same time, whenever they happen. The thunder happens separate (unless triggered at the same time, which has not happened to me yet).

- Buildings are being built individually and placed in the village.
