View Full Version : Allow creators to make loading screens that sync with the game's loading

This may seem like something very ridiculous considering how long it already takes to load community levels, but some levels really need some extra loading time. It takes about 30 seconds for the level I'm currently working on to load during gameplay. I have made a loading screen, but it may be too long or too short for some people depending on how fast their Vitas are running. What I mean by loading during a level is when the little Earth is spinning in the bottom left. If I do not put in a loading screen, the player will start with no sound effects or music and everything gets delayed. It feels unprofessional and destroys the experience.

So, all I'm asking is that creators be able to create loading screens that will end when the game is done loading everything. The Vita needs time to render the graphics and audio, and players and creators should not have to suffer from things not being loading as soon as Sackboy starts moving his legs or the cutscene starts rolling.

I think that would be a cool idea, yes.

Although it would be rather difficult to implement.
