View Full Version : Object Creator Glitch

Of all the strange nuances in the LBPK level creator, there is one particular glitch in the object creator that I find inexcusably stupid. I'm trying to make an arena level that has a road circling a raised plateau. As I'm making this an arena and not a track, I can't simply use the track creator and be done with it in 10 seconds. So I've taken to making long strips from asphalt using the object creator. The first one I made was just fine. But every one after that is so obnoxious to make because of this stupid glitch.

Every time I go to make a new object, no matter which shape I pick, the "brush" starts out rotated 90 degrees vertically. So I have to manually rotate the thing back down to be flush with the terrain so I can continue making what I thought would be a simple road. And with the limit to how large objects can be, I find myself having to make so many additions to the road, which means more pointless rotations just because the game won't start the next piece horizontally flat. Trying to rotate by eye can add inconsistancies to the road, so I have to keep going into the start menu to turn on "snap to grid" so my pieces are consistantly level. Am I missing something, or is this just how the object creator is supposed to be?

If you look down on your level when you are ready to make a new object with the shape brushes, it should lay horizontally like you want it to. Just adjust the camera to look down before starting.

Thanks, I'll try that. It's pretty weird when it does that.
