Race completion rewards question.

So...picked this up a few days ago and i've been enjoying the heck out of it (i know, i know i'm supposed to be redoing/repairing my lbp2 level, but c'mon...i was working on that for 6months)...but, i'm a bit confused about how the prizes are doled out.

So, upon race completion you can get prizes for placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (i assume they stack, so getting first would net all of them), for getting all present bubbles in the level, and for starring the level.

The thing is...i feel like there've been times where i've gotten all the presents in the level, but it hasn't triggered a reward upon completion. Now, to be honest, this has usually been when i've gone back through the race specifically to pick up bubbles, so oft times i end it dead last. Does this mean i'll have to go through the race again and place in order to get the present.

i feel like i had another question here about how the stars were handled...but i'm at work and my brain is stupid now, so i'll just leave this as is.

I don't think you need to place first again, but maybe it will skip the reward sequence because officially you failed the race. Just check the icons on the level badge or the goodies percentage to see if you got everything.

Hrmm...the percentage of goodies gotten is for the whole lot, and not just Present Bubbles, then? i wish they had split them up in that section, like they did in LBP2.

Ah well, i was just worried about missing/missing the chance to get things, but i guess it's all good.

I've gone off this now, back to LBP2 for a while.

Yeah, when I was trying to get 100% in Karting I often finished a level with no obvious summary of the new things I had earned for winning or for getting all prize bubbles. I thought that was a bit crap. Sometimes I would get all the prize bubbles I could see and then have to check the level details to know if I had "looted" everything. Something else they could have improved IMO.
