When lbpk first came out I was working on a helicopter game. I stopped playing because of frustration and other games coming out but want to pick it back up again. I was wondering if anyone has created or played a level like this. I would like to see some work to help get the inspiration flowing again or if anyone had any ideas or suggestions. I already have a working helicopter with full molbility and multiple weapons. Now the ammo is a bit glitchy and I'm working on it. But I also have a health bar and boost bar.

These things and more will be implemented into my level. Like I said before kinda just need to get back into the flow of things and thought someone out here could help. If you have any questions or such just leave a post or message me. Thanks DFw86

I have seen one other helicopter-ish "game", though it was more like a tech demo in an empty kitchen stage. As for ideas, here's something you could consider:

Create AI bots that attack the player or impede their progress
Create random objectives (such as destroy buildings) or different targets across the map
Add a fuel limit that burns down for increased difficulty and landing pads to refuel

Essentially, create something like the Strike series of games (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_seq2VLWEvg#!).

Hope that helps!

Hi DFw86, I'd love to help out if i can...(frustrating that unlike lbp2, theres no coop create mode though).
Are you looking for help in designing the helicopther, or just game play ideas, or scenery?
For inspiration, i'd google old classic games like, Choplifter, Silkworm, Super Cobra, or Desert Strike.

As for an idea, You could maybe have a burning city, and you need to rescue survivors from the roofs of skyscrapers, before the collapse.
or, you could fly in and above canyons and such, shooting down enemy and taking out emplacements.

Actually, I played a game ages ago called Walker. It was about a mech that had to get from one side to the other of a battlefield, Its not a
helicopter, but the way your attacked might be an idea in intself.
