In many games where a game editor is included, the developers of the game have included with it an ability to see what might be wrong with the level as it is being built.

It would be nice to have something like this implemented into LBP. I have seen so many detailed levels out there, and I have made some pretty detailed levels as well, but some of mine won't load and I want to know why.

After hours of work on a level, it makes it very frustrating to try and publish it (or get it published) only to have people give F4F feedback and say "sorry mate, the level doesn't load."

I want to know why.

Is there some type of developer mode that MM uses in their levels to ensure everything is working correctly? If there is, can that be shared with us?

Yes and No.

MM are cheaters. Dirty, filthy cheaters.

I think MM's "secret" is that they have paid quality assurance staff that go through levels and playtest them to death so they work properly. It's not that big of a secret, and we kind of have this going with the F4F system that's happening on this site. :)
