Right, what I'm suggesting this idea purely based on the fact that I get sick of the dimensions and how they never run smoothly.

My Idea

- Okay, one of the most annoying things that I find in LBP is how the dimensions don't work properly. If you go to delete on dimension, it deletes them all. If you go to build on one dimension, you can see a distinct line seperating the two items.

I seriously think that these ideas really need to be sorted out. This would most of all ease up creating platforming levels. I noticed this as soon as I got the game, which was when it came out. I'd already seen videos where you could delete one dimension and still have the other two.
I can't stress enough to you how much easier this would make creation.

As for adding one dimension into the other three, this would make your level look a lot cleaner and would also make things a heck of a lot simpler.

If your talking about the depth layers, I agree. It's frustrating and only serves to add more time to our builds. I'd love to be able to put a block of material up pick the layer depth I want and simply carve away or add on to it. I'm guessing MM has good reason for it though.... they usually figure out what works, what doesn't, and why during the development stages of creating a game.

Maybe this will be addressed in LBP2 or some amazing patch. *crosses fingers* .. but I'm not holding my breath.

Mwoa as soon as you get used to it it's not too much of a problem... If you use the grid it's quite easy to remove a bit of level that has the wrong depth and rebuild it. It has some kind of weird logic to it.

I'm used to it now :). There are more pressing issues in my opinion that could use a bit of a fix.
