Winter of 2014 I took another creative writing course for college (the first one was so fun).

Anyway for this assignment we were supposed to mess with formatting, and that was all the instructions we got. I had no clue what to write, and I was getting frustrated, but then I thought of this...

Side Note: Please forgive me for including the ugly lines. I only put them in because the forum wouldn't let me format the poem properly.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy http://i.cubeupload.com/3Jq14z.png

____________Walking Backwards, Running Forwards

Staring at a blank page
My mind begins to wonder
How will I set the stage?
Will it be a blunder?

__________________________Thoughts raced around my mind
__________________________Which ones should I pick?
__________________________It made me feel blind
__________________________Wishing I knew the trick

Back and forth I wrote
Forth and back I erased
Back in this section I made a note
Forth in that section I displaced

__________________________Finally it came to me
__________________________In a shimmering light
__________________________I could finally see
__________________________Knowing what was right

Quickly I jotted a line
And words began to flow
Finally feeling fine
I was ready to let go

__________________________This line here
__________________________And that idea published
__________________________Proper rhymes there
__________________________And poem is finished
