If anyone has used Flash, the "Tweening" tool is very useful. A tool that can change variable size of a material or object(s), from big to small or vise versa. Have it where you can set the minimum and maximum size with a percentage ratio.

An example would to have a belly grow bigger the more you feed it. Or have a game where you start off as a small fish, as you eat smaller fish, you start to grow very slightly in size, the Tweening tool would gradually increase the size of the object, which would be the fish. So you wouldn't have to make multiple objects of the same fish in different sizes, when it could all be from a single object.

I could see so many useful creations with a Tweening tool.

This is an interesting concept, I can see it being integrated into LBP3! I'd like to see this option for players/Sackbots (it can be argued we will already have Toggle in LBP3 and we can already alter the sizes via intricate logic). But still, it'd bring something new to the table.

There's another Tweening I forgot to mention. Shape Tweening, where you you can change the shape of an object shape to another gradually.

Example would be having a triangle shape object gradually morphing into a Sqaure shape object, or even a hexagon, or whatever shape you would like. You can set the before and after object shape, again, using a variable percentage ratio. So it can even be morphed halfway through if you want it to.

Also a good idea! I hope this is feasible within LBP3, as the number of corners a shape has will add to the thermo. Oh also on the topic tweening, why not have the option to make it morph to a custom shape?

I don't see why not, emitters add to the thermometer also, shifting corner numbers shouldnt be an issue in that respect.

What I'd also love to see is being able to skew the dimensions of a shape. For example, it gets thicker and takes up more layers.
I'd also love to see Sackbots become skewed, meaning their bodies and limbs could become stretched so they're very tall and slender or short and stubby, haha.

Tween Goals (imo): Shape, size, material, ability to clip; in-game material clipping;cutting, dephysicalization, glow, hue, stroke;material thickness, relative-layer thickness (annoying thickness addition on thin layer when trying to make models of things, so maybe like being able to make it razor thin) and UV shift

If even some of these make it, then it will be enough for me :)

I sincerely hope that if shape tweening happens it's not like in Flash.

Frame 1 -smooth transition-> Frame 10

Oh, wait, gotta fix that little detail in frame ten...

*after fixing detail*

Frame 1 -WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING???-> Frame 10

Too many bad memories of applying shape hints to my shapes and only making it worse... *shudder*
