View Full Version : Compiling of all the things I want.

Welcome, This topic is a compiling of all the main ideas, stuff and things I've wanted changed and or added in LBP over the last few years.

Note: If you want to discuss the ideas here then please donít be rude about it. Also note that some of the ideas here may have already ended-up been put into LBP3... However I made sure I didn't include any of my old ideas we currently at the time I posted this know for fact is indeed in LBP3. Also some of my ideas here are fairly common, But I will still discuss them as itís just a list of things I wanted over the years. *mew
-----

First on the list is random stuff I want.

-----
(Fix the auto-kick on turned-off controller players)
I hope they changed that thing where if a player turns off their controller while joined with another player it would kick them from the game in 3 or so mins... That's really annoying when a friend is trying to help a friend get pass a area in a level or ace it for them, or even just when somebody wants to "Be-Right-Back" without getting in the other players way. Let the host decide if they wanna kick them, the game shouldn't decide for you.
-----
(If possible fix the (!) problem on objects)
Would be really nice if they change that problem where if to many objects are on screen the game turns them all into (!) ... It doesn't have to be that way as badly, That was something added late in the LBP2 beta back in the day, before they added that it took a lot more to make all the objects disappear. *mew
-----
(Remove speed blurring)
I hope they fix that object blurring thing. If some of you didn't already know the game will blur objects if they are moving fast whatsoever. For example in a auto-runner level you can't really turn up the object speed much higher then a mover speed of 10, otherwise it gets hard to see anything because the game blurs the fast objects.
-----

(In game paint program usable with normal controller)
Something Iíve wanted since using the Move-paint feature in LBP2 is to be able to use at least the standard PS-controller. The move-controller is hard to use especially if you have shaky hands, so would be really awesome to have other options because itĎs really nice to make ya own stickers without relying on premade company stickers..

Update: Seems this feature is in the game already. Yay~

-----
(Fix the object/deco render bug.)
This has very likely been fixed already just like it was on LBPvita, But Iíll still discuss it just in case anyways. Back on LBP2 MM broke how objects including deco render in the game. Back on LBP1 object/deco rendering worked fine. But on LBP2 many kinds of objects will randomly render out of order regardless if you want them to or not. .. As a example stick a deco on ya Sackdollís tongue then close ya sackís mouth , Youíll notice you can still see the deco even tho you shouldnít, It should not work that way. So I really hope they fixed that.
-----
(Top-down-mode option for sackdolls)
This is also something Iíd assume they already put in LBP3 in some way or form. But regardless of that, Iíd like a option where you can make sack-people walk and platform on the front surface of walls without a DCS needed. They should also have a proper walking animation and be able to grab objects still all included without having to program those aspects yourself. This idea mixed with a top-down 3D level camera would mean a easy and quick way to make full 3D levels for anyone.
-----
(All colors option for personal popit and text)
As I am sure many of you feel the same, It would be great to be able to chose what color ya popit/ETC and text to personally be, and not just a small premade selection of colors. There should be a color-pallet that opens up when choosing what you want. If you want a black popit with red text then you should be allowed to do precisely that.
-----
(Pod extreme customizing)
I would like there to be much more options with how you can customize your pod. I think there should be a selection of different pod types/shapes. I donít think you should be allowed to completely make the base pod yourself as that could lead to problems. But a good option of presets that you can decorate like normal would be awesome. Also I think there sure be special objects you can customize your pod with like minigames or seats that you can interact with or a ball to throw, Again in order to avoid BS I donít think you should be allowed to bring any custom made items into the pod. But basically special objects that are for the pod only works fine and would be cool.
-----
(Forum spotlights tab)
Teampicks is nice n allÖ But I would really love it if LBP3 had a forum spotlights tab right near team picks on the main level browser menu.
-----

Next on the list below is costume related ideas I really want.
Note: The costume ideas is the stuff I mainly want out of everything and anything for LBP.

-----

(Unique character shape costume kit)
Most important to me when it comes to costume ideas is this list below of character creator kit costume parts that give you super useful unique shape parts to far better make ya own original story mode characters for yo levels. Way to much of the DLC costumes don't even try to alter the basic shape & form of sackpeople IMHO, and I really would like that to change.

Square Doll.
Info: A tall square shaped doll character costume.
Parts included.
Square Head. Square Torso. Square Arms. Square Legs.

Ball Doll.
Info. A very round ball shaped doll character costume.
Parts included.
Ball Head. Ball Torso. Ball Hands. Ball Feet.

Feminine Doll.
Info: A great basic and simplistic lady shaped character costume that is similar to the LBP2 story-mode apple-head character "Eve" but is fully customizable.
Parts included.
Feminine Big Eyes. Feminine Torso. Feminine Legs.

Faceless Doll.
Info: A by default faceless doll character, The very fact it is faceless by default means it is great for customizing as you could use the head with any body you want. Also the doll comes with a nice separate puppet like body as a bonus.
Parts included.
Faceless Head. Puppet body.

Retro Cartoon Doll.
Info: A adorable yet basic retro cartoon girl character doll. This costume would be awesome for cartoon style characters with the thin noodle limbs n what not.
Parts included.
Retro Ears. Retro Eyes. Retro Muzzle. Retro Torso. Retro Hands. Retro Legs. Retro Skirt & Tail.

PS: All these costumes would share a basic pure white texture-less skin in order to be useful for coloring yourself.

Personal Note: I especially personally want the feminine legs as I make a lot of female characters for my story levels.
-----
(Vita & Karting Costumes)
This is obvious but I would love all the story-mode costumes from LBPvita & LBPkarting to somehow be in LBP3. Even if we had to pay for them as DLC packs itíd be better then nothing.
-----
(Sonic costume pack #2)
While I love the first Sonic costume pack given way back on LBP1... Sooner or later I really hope weíll get a 2nd pack. But not only that I really would prefer it for the costumes to be far better designed next time with stuff such as their iconic eyes included.

-----
(Costume texture/sticker UV tool)
One of the longest parts with making costume costumes is often the stickering because of how hard it is to place stickers precisely where you want them to go. So a cool quick way around that would be a tool or option to shift the sticker/textures on your costume without having to remove them ever.
-----
(Better Deco on costume options)
It should be allowed so decorations are not auto-removed on costumes when you are changing your costume parts with different ones. If made this way you could do crazy awesome stuff like you could place a pet deco on a hat then afterwards remove the hat and have a floating pet above ya head without using a glitch.

The end. Thanks for reading~ :)

I heard that we will have the option to make sackbot/characters walk on the back layer instead of the floor.

I have to agree that we need more unique costume shapes. I, personally, would prefer more non-human style clothing pieces, like a new animals pack. I have mentioned A 'Monsters Vs Aliens' pack and Digimon packs, which might sound immature and lead you to believe that I'm a 12 year old (Which I'm not) but I want them not just because I like tie-ins to other franchises but because each of the characters in the respective series have unique designs and there is a lot of potential for costume pieces that aren't just jacket's or hairstyles that look similar to existing ones. You have some funky-looking hair and unique apparel but you also have different fins, claws, wings, teeth, tails and new head and body shapes.

I liked most of the new costume choices you have mentioned, the only one I think wouldn't be so great is the cartoony one. I mean, not all people would want a girly cartoon (with an already made feminine costume) in the game without a male one too, (to go Micky/Minnie) probably have the costumes listed as: Cartoon Head (Boy) Cartoon Head (Girl) ect. (also I don't want to sound like brainy smurf but) Steven said that sackfolf don't have specific genders.

(also I don't want to sound like brainy smurf but) Steven said that sackfolf don't have specific genders.

Costumes don't count in that rule. Remember StevenI also said when dressing up Toggle as a girl

"See? They can be any gender you want!"

Also just as a reminder, this is a list of things "I" want. Not a list of ideas I think other people necessary want. However I do hope they would be very useful ideas for other people too regardless.

Another note: If you read the cartoon girl's info you'd see you wouldn't need to use the girl parts of the costume and can make a male version out of it. *mew

Sorry if I had offended you, I just wanted to say (or type) that reply. not to metion there are cheerleader outfits for guys too, just not as girly as the ones meant for girls which is what I meant to explain. Still I'm very sorry for offending you (if I did)

Don't worry about it. I was just saying facts. Feel free to keep talking. :)
