There was one thing I always wanted to do in LBP and that was make it so you could make something that could grab a grabable material or even sackboy. However thats not possible without highly complicated logic, and it doesn't look as good as you would like, so why not add something that can do it?

An Attatchable Claw would look similar to a Grappling Hook's claw, but function like a Rocket in the sense that you stick it onto a surface. The claw would be able to be turned on and off with logic. Turning it on would close the claw, causing it to grab whatever is in it's grab radius, and turning it off would open it.

Various settings for the Claw would include

Auto Grab on/off : The claw would automatically grab onto any grabable material closest to it and within it's grab radius

Grab force: How strong the claw grabs onto whatever it's grabing on to. Basically this is how much force it takes to overpower the claw. If the force acting upon an item (pulling it away from the claw, that is) is greater than the strength of the claw, the claw will automatically let go.

Slap Release: The claw would be able to detect slaps. If Slap Release is enabled, slapping left or right while in the clutches of a claw would cause the claw to let you go.

Finally, the Attachable claw could add a new hazard: Being pulled apart. If two or more claws, or one claw and your sackboy holding onto something, are pulling you in two different directions with enough force, you have the possibility to be pulled apart, causing your sackboy to pop.

Sounds interesting, I'd love to see this in action!

This would indeed be interesting. I could see many uses for this.

What about an Attract-o-Tweaker and two Material Tweakers set to Stick and Non-stick, respectively. Hook 'em up to a switch and you're all set.
Surely you don't even need any logic for a grabber-hook-thingy, just make it encapsulate sackboy and he won't be able to escape!

In all honesty, I misread the OP so it gave me a good idea. It would be unlikely to be in the base-game - as I'm sure LBP3 is being wrapped up tightly ready for launch - It'd be a useful-little mechanic for a DLC Pack, however. Similar to the concept I described above, it would work like a Stickiness Tweaker and an Attract-O-Tweak in one. When sackboy runs into the material, he sticks flat to it, it'd work with objects as well though. There would be a "Sticky-Tape Material" and a "Sticky-Tape Tweaker"; There would be an option to make it double-sided and another option to reverse the axis so you could stick to the face of the material (making it thin could do this automatically?). It might be a bit novel but the best thing to explain it is this part of this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ePLtSxYgUGw#t=143) but instead of the target exploding, you'd stick to it!
