Fly around the old house in the woods. Legends speak of old witches and ghost haunting the place, but as a witch yourself, you're not scared! Custom kart and weapons, and a dynamic track.

This is my Halloween track entry for the competition! This is a nighttime race around and through an old house in the woods. I have a "full" set of custom weapons, and a custom kart to go with it! I think the kart is pretty cool, I think y'all will too. The weapons are all pretty cool, if I do say so myself, and can be quite powerful.

There's the "Fracture spark," which bounces along shooting sparks off to the side as it goes; The "Pulse rocket," erupting in energy as it travels, getting anybody near it; The "Thunderstorm rocket," which is a cloud raining lightning down from above, annihilating anybody unlucky enough to have it pass over them; The "Magic skull bolt," which is any witches bread and butter, basic shot spell; The "Spider mine," which is a spider that walks around a short area after you lay it, catching unwitting witches off guard; The "Turret mine," which is a mine you lay behind you that actively shoots at enemies which come near it; and finally, the "Hyper witch," which an advanced witch can encompass themselves in magic energy, giving themselves a brief, but substantial boost in speed, as well as invulnerability.

There is a large amount of prize bubbles in the level, not all of them are particularly exciting, but most of the weapons, and even the custom kart is in there if you can find it (will probably take a couple of attempts to get everything).

I had problems with the random weapon pods, so I devised a system around them. I'm using specific weapon pods throughout the level, but have each set on a cycler to provide some randomness.

The AI is quite dumb, and get stuck on a particular corner - trying to cut it when there is no path for them to cut through, and they actively ignore most pathfinder:obstruction labels. I have the difficulty turned up, because this helps it slightly, and even with their shortcomings, they won't have any trouble beating you to the goal like this, if you're not careful.

In the house, there are several hallways with randomized obstacles or events that will keep you surprised as you turn the corners, never knowing quite how to avoid the next problem until you're there and see which one has spawned at that time, even if you've played it a thousand times. Each time you pass through, there's a very good chance it will be a different one than the last time you passed that way.

Special thanks to my lovely and artistic wife for all the help with colors and building the real looking couch and chair for me.

Edit: Oh, and I have an effect on the moon that most people probably won't notice - more of an aesthetic thing and would take a keen eye to notice their own. It is on a piston and slowly growing closer to the level, and should be quite large by the 3rd lap. If you look at it for a few seconds, the slow movement adds a slight distorted effect that I really like. Coincidental find that I really like. A "tips and tricks" for those looking for subtle effects.

I have updated the track slightly. Made a certain jump slightly easier to make, as it was quite strict. Also added a subtle arrow to help a specific turn.
