Is this against the rules?

From the beta agreement

Any codes or passwords which give access to beta software or beta forums are personal to you and must not be shared with anyone else.

https://psnbeta.eu.playstation.com/beta_agreement.php

But since the NDA has been lifted you might be in luck if you get StevenI's permission

The NDA just says you can't talk about it, share pictures. Now it's been lifted you can, but the rest of the beta agreement still stands. So no code sharing.

I think the key was tied to an account. So, like, a key signed to my PSN is locked to my account and cannot be used for anyone else's

Apparently, you can't, but even before the NDA was lifted, people were gamesharing. Was this against the rules too?

Yes, also from the beta agreement linked to earlier:

4. You must keep the beta software secure and in good condition. You are licensed to use the beta software on a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable, limited basis and you must only use it for the beta. You must not copy the beta software, give or sell it to anyone, try to reverse engineer it, nor use it to create derivative works.

Really, you should read agreements before you agree. It's not like it's 10 pages long.
