View Full Version : Rail Hooking on wrong Rails

I am having a very difficult time with rail tracks that are placed close together. Whenever trying to place a rail hooked object on one of them, it always snaps to the other (It seems as though the snap moves preferably to the left). I hate this. I wish there was a way to exclusively pair a rail hook to a specific rail. But I can't find anything. Any help?

Would using L2 to make one of the rails disappear while placing the rail hooked objects down fix your issue?

nope, placing the hook is indeed an issue, but the snap once pressing play is even worse. Even if you move your object directly onto of a rail, it snaps to another! So infuriating!

I wonder if anyone else is having this issue.

I think the snapping radius is too large.

Are you trying to snap the actual wheel to the rail? Even if it was too large, I'd think it would snap to the closest one.

Nope.
Hers the scenario...
I wanted to make 3D fingers. So that a character could close their fingers into a fist. Problem came about when I shrunk the hand. The 4 rails got really close, and the ghostified fingers and hooks began jumping to the rails to their immediate left rather then staying on the rails they were already on. Very... very frustrating.

It may be because the Build of LBP3 Beta you're playing on is very outdated.

It could also be an issue or glitch with shrinking the hand. I'm sure when you shrunk it, it threw off something in the game and the rail detection of the rail hooks must have been 'warped' or screwed with.
