Episode 58
Welcome to another delicious hamper of awesome levels, handpicked for you by the Spotlight Crew from LBPC's very own level showcase! And this time we have a new PS3 Spotlight layout - snazzy!
As you will have (or will soon have) noticed, the LBP.me integration implemented on the rest of the site has now been integrated specially here, with some clever (and rather complicated) BBCode. Clicking on the level badge icon will take you to the spotlighted level's LBP.me page, while clicking on the level's title should take you to the Level Showcase thread as usual. We would like to thank Aya042 and ConfusedCartman for helping with these changes, and hope you find them helpful. ...by Published on 02-13-2011 06:24 PM- Categories:

Dimo1138
Robot Revolutionary
Interview conducted by xkappax
The year is 20XX and Dr. Dimo has taken over the world with his robot bosses. Do you have what it takes to stop the evil inventor and save the world from his mechanized creations? To be honest, probably not. Or at least not right away. ...by Published on 02-02-2011 02:49 AM- Categories:

VelcroJonze
Prince of Platforming
Interview conducted by amazingflyingpoo
LittleBigPlanet is more than just a game. It's a platform for telling stories, for creating art, and for making your ideas come to life. Let's not forget that it's also a particularly excellent platform for... well, platformers. Everybody loves a good old fashioned bubble-packed sidescroller, making a mad dash for the end of the level while jumping and swinging your way to the top of the scoreboard. When you're in the mood for no nonsense left-to-right action, you simply can't do much better than a level by VelcroJonze. The elegant, striking shapes and flowing gameplay of his masterpiece crea... *BOING* ...by Published on 01-24-2011 04:36 AM- Categories:

Ungreth
Psychological Creator
Interview conducted by TheCountessZ
"Ungreth is a person. He likes some things and not others. He lives in a place and is of a certain age." This is what Ungreth uses to define himself in LBP. Beyond that, he is also great at creating an atmosphere of fear, humor, or frustration in his levels. He creates the mood and then allows the player's imagination to move him/her forward. Whether it's in an old diner, a depressing tenement, or on an alien spacecraft, Ungreth takes you there. And you believe it. ...by Published on 01-12-2011 02:48 AM
When the original LittleBigPlanet was announced at 2007's GDC, it was a surprise hit. It got people talking - about ease-of-use, about creativity, about the cute stitched-up character with the equally cutesy name. It got people excited about what LittleBigPlanet meant for gaming as a whole. At the time, LittleBigPlanet seemed truly primed not only to revolutionize user generated content, but to serve as an entire Creative platform - for Creators and Players alike.
Fast forward to the present, and we have LittleBigPlanet 2: the game that completely and unequivocally delivers on the lofty promises made by that LittleBigPlanet GDC demonstration four years ago - and then some. ...by Published on 01-11-2011 09:40 AM- Categories:

Hello again, folks! It's that time again... spotlight time! We have another set of wonderful, marvelous levels for you to play. We hope you enjoy them!
A few matters to attend. First, we welcome back UmJammerSully, who underwent a long hibernation and transformation (he used to be ChazOSulls)! He jumped back in willingly, playing levels left and right, being generally very helpful. He's a welcome (re)addition to the spotlight crew!
Second, there have been some worries and speculations about what LBP2 will bring for the Spotlight. We still have some minor tweaking to do, but rest assured, most of it has been figured out. Experimenting with the new features of lbp.me and level-linking has given us many ideas. We hope you enjoy them as we implement them over the next few months!
And that's that! Go play some Little Big Planet!

Spark151
Covering all the angles
Interview conducted by amazingflyingpoo
Variety is the spice of life. More than that, variety is the spice of LBP. Creating is all about inventing new worlds, crafting new adventures, and taking players to places they have never been before. Few creators are as good at this as Spark151, and even fewer can crank out the levels as quickly as he can.
Really, Spark151 is a perfect storm of LBP. He can whip up environments so quickly and so well, he often puts several in every level he publishes. So what gives? Does he have a secret army of Sackbots constructing levels for him in a cloth-and-cardboard sweatshop somewhere? Let's investigate a bit further and find out the secret behind this prolific PSP'er.

Yes, it's that time of the fortnight again folks! We hope you can take a break from the holidays for a teensy moment to play through another raft of excellent levels from LBPC's level showcase.
We are still a bit short staffed at the moment even with Keldur's eyes healing! People *cough* Holguin *cough* are taking a little break to enjoy Christmas! You can expect Holguin, along with Plasmavore, and Joey back by the release of LBP2! OKINGO should be back for episode 56 as he just received his new computer! Everybody on the team wishes you happy holidays and will see you in 2011!
