  • LittleBigPlanet 2 quasi confirmed - will feature Electronic music

    Electronic artist Chris "Ochre" Leary confirmed a LittleBigPlanet sequel yesterday when he mistakenly tweeted that one of his tracks will be included in the new game. Although Sony attempted to kill the spread of the rumor by having Leary remove the tweet, the news spread like wildfire to various gaming sites (Kotaku included) before the damage control was in full effect.

    According to IGN, the song rumored to be included in the new sequel is Infotain Me. It sounds like nothing that's been included in LittleBigPlanet thus far, but it still definitely seems like it would be a good fit for a LittleBigPlanet game.

    Sony was likely planning to announce the sequel sometime this year, probably at or before E3, so keep your eyes out for new information about this over the coming months.

      why? because mass effect is ps3 only now?

      bioware owns mass effect not microsoft...we've seen bioshock turn over to ps3 whats to say mass effect couldnt either?

      also most of those titles are sequels that are being developed such as killzone 3, all i can ask is where are your sources?

      Some of those games have been canceled month ago.
      Mass Effect 3 being published by Sony doesn't make sense, because there is no reason why EA should stop publishing it and there is also no way that part 3 comes out only on PS3. LBP 2 would most likely be LittleBigPlanet 2.
      And come on a game called Ninja Solid.

      even though Mass Effect is an iconic Xbox 360 exclusive it is not developed by a 2nd-party developer to Microsoft. It's Bioware, which has released numerous cross-platform titles.

      Yes, but why would Sony publish it? The past two titles have been published by EA. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be the published of the PS3 version and it simply doesn't make sense to release the first two parts of a trilogy on one console and then release the last part on another console.
      I'm not saying it's not going to happen I'm just saying the list is fake.

      If it was real, Playstation Move and Project Natal would be on that list with size 1000 font!

      its fake for so many reasons. only a fool would believe this, but yes some of these games will be at e3.

      now does anybody know anything about this, can we transfer over projects from LBP1? im currently working a level and im wondering should i go on, if the game will die in just a couple of months...

      Just like everyone else, no one knows what or how the sequel (if that's what it is) will work. All we have ever seen in relation to this is the 4 characters LBP2. Absolutely nothing is known about it.

      Also I would say that if anything it's not coming this year. The move functionality has yet to be added and that's not out until later this year.

      Heck, the sequel could just be that move functionality, which as we already know is getting added to the current game.

      Also, If there really were an LBP 2 then it probably wouldn't even come out until next year, not in a couple of months. They haven't had time to hype it up yet...

      lol I know it's LBP2 topic but as the list that appeared from e3 is being wrote off as fake I thought it was relevant that GOW is teasing something and considering there is something GOW related on the list, ties in. Just thought it was interesting to note. I highly doubt any sequel would go exclusively motion controlled. We seen in the tech demo they showed that one player was still running around like normal, so if anything it's just a gimmicky add on that will add a little bit of something different but I don't think it would take front seat control wise. That would ruin it and it wouldn't be like LBP at all I think. Just what this LBP2 is I don't know, could be a complete fakeness so I don't want to think too much about it. It would be a surprise if it happens, otherwise not going to dig too deep into it. All I know is this "leak" lead me to Ochre music lol which I have listened to non stop for a while now so something good came out of it for me!

      First off, no. sony bought Mm and Lbp so no microsoft of nintendo

      Next, my oppinion is that Lbp will in fact be announced at E3 this year.
      But here's how it will go down.
      they'll start off by making an awesome entrance, then show us what they've changed, then, show us that what we all fear will in fact not happen (our levels being lost)

      then a cool sneak peak of the gameplay, with the awesome new stuff.
      then telling us, MAY 2011!

      Then we'll all be like... "OKAY! i want this! and this! and that! and this too!"
      then they'll be... LBP 2 BETA!
      and i'll be like.... dang...
      then she wa like oh. my. god.
      and he was Yeah! right?
