yup that was my plan to use it in moderation C: i know how to make gameplay just fine, it be boring if the level played itself ;P a good level is one that uses a mix of a lot of different things, something that keeps you on your toes ya know? *mew
Of course not. All we are trying to discourage is people cheating the no-floor idea. For example, how we said bounce pads were ok, someone has already asked me if they could use a giant row of bounce pads instead. That would not score well. Omega was just getting at if your bot was carrying sackboy through the whole level (aka all the time), it probably would not be favorable, as it would be cheating the no-floor idea. Don't worry about it - I think it's a great idea as long as it's used in moderation
Oh that's cool. Tho i was the planing on using DCS anyway My bot is is a Bot hanging from a balloon on a sting and is bolted to the sting and the balloon moves with tag followers. it would just be in some places in the level, not the whole time. they would just help at times to get ya to a higher platform ETC. but after reading omega's post below, does that mean I'd get 0 for Originality?
Just to let you know, we've clarified the ruling on controllinators. Having many inquiries on the interpretation of the rule, we have agreed that it applies to sackboy only. In other words, sackbots may use them, but sackboy may not in any form.

I'll speak to Omega and check out his post. I personally don't see anything wrong with sackbots carrying you, and there's nothing in the rules to state otherwise. The spirit of the contest is to keep sackboy off his feet, and it sounds to me this is what you're planning to do.
Cool thanks for the advice man. was wondering after omega said Bots could not carry you to places how far that rule goes. so what I'm guessing it's just things can't take you to places for you? like a floating bot that pulls you up to a higher platform is a no? More or less you got get to places your self?
Hey Fumetsusozo, Trying to avoid grey areas is why we ultimately chose to cut controllinators and jetpacks from the contest design. But, we're sticking by the poster's guidelines, from what it says to everything it doesn't say. There's nothing in there about sackbots throwing you to your doom, so go for it! Oh Hi hi~ i was wanting to ask a question or two about the contest. I don't want to spam up the topic more then i've already have with my asking things. I see that Sackbots can't carry you to places. but what about if you in the air and one comes down picks you up and tosses you to your doom? more or less it just a enemy that tries to kill ya. or is anything that could move sackperson (besides jump pads or cannons) in any way even if it's to it's doom not with the rules? I'm having little hard time clearing out the gray areas with this stuff.
