Well to be honest, some categories were "disliked" by members. But of course, I told them that it's a members awards show, so if they needed a category to be removed, they just need to ask. And they did. So thank the members as well.

Hey Cartman, just wanted to let you know that the awards show went great. No one argued (well maybe RockSauron's opion on Newcomer Award, but it was more of a suggestion). In fact, they congradulated and made jokes, the usual. So ya, I hope next year's (or whenever's) awards show gets the same respose and more votes. P.S. You won a couple of awards.

Oh.Well I'll still give it some thought.I'll try thinking of some way to achive the results you hoped for. Maybe if I put rules: 1.No influence on voting. 2.No putdowns on other voters. 3.You may ONLY post for voting UNLESS the post is positive(Good luck,Cograds,etc.). Im still thinking about it.If only there was an option for the author to remove comments like in LBP,that way it would run smoother.
It was mainly due to the members disagreeing with each other over who "should" have won. It didn't achieve the kind of results I was hoping for.
Oh.But was it because the members decided their vote was better,or was it more like a not organized thing.If it's the not organized thing,then I think I can try out this one to see how it goes.It's mainly up to you,after all,I don't want the thread locked,removed,etc..
Well, we did something like that a while back, and it didn't turn out too well. Members ended up arguing over the results. I don't think it's a good idea, to be honest.
It's mainly a thread containing categories of different things.In other words,it's a voting type of thread,but by nominations,no polls.There is no prizes,unless you want me to give out prizes,like XP? The number of awards are pending from 5-15. These awards are based on members' popularity,levels,and statictics(like reputation,contributions,etc.). I'm hoping this is the first time in an awards show,because if there is another one,I will have to cancel it.Please respond if you can.
