IT'S A MIRACLE - 17 hours earlier than the power company told us!!! We have electricity back! I got a hot date with a shower!!! Joy
I see scattered thunderstorms for this weekend, though not sure if that is evening or not. Hopefully it is.. don't care about that so much. The temps don't look too bad at least. I hate hot weather, but it's not like my car isn't that far away to jump in and whip on the air quite a bit if necessary. In the afternoons, I have a great spot I can hide in shade as well.
lol - no worries on the share a room thing - dad's out of town and mom and I get a long great. She indulges my bad habits rather than constantly criticizing so time spent with her is very pleasant That's cool if you come up early. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. Things are gonna be nutty up here the next two days yet. Very hot with storms at night. Maybe by the weekend we'll be back to sunny and pleasant for ya.
muh haha haha yup.. it be pretty darn fast. I used to put it back into default mode when I took it in until the warranty ran out. Now I really don't care.. actually better this way as they are more aware of stuff that might wear out faster than normal. Awwww that sucks!! Sorry to hear that... but yeah, I think a motel might lend to your sanity and a nice bath would be a huge comfort for you. PLEASE don't all go share a room though!!! I would stay somewhere nice, and get some yummy food, watch some TV and get a good nights sleep. Maybe take a sketch book with you rather than worrying about the PS3. Sorta like I am going to do here this weekend! I am so excited to head up north! I think I am going to attempt leaving horribly early to miss traffic here and there as well as get to the track earlier so I can snag my media credentials and maybe wander around the track looking for new spots to shoot from.
lol - that's too funny. When the mecnanic says whoah - you know you got a sweet ride. Bad news from the power company. Noon tomorrow at the earliest for us to get power back at the house.... methinks a hotel might be a reasonable option for a good nights sleep.
Yay! Got my car back home! Running great as expected.. not that it wasn't, but always seems happier after an oil change and some TLC. What was cool was I was talking to the mechanic telling him where I was heading this weekend. He says he was originally from WI and worked at Skip Barber as a mechanic for quite awhile. Him and his Dad used to go to races there at RA quite a lot. Great fun talking to him while he was finishing up. Also fun to get his reaction from his road test. Mine is quite a bit faster than the normal TT.. in fact quicker than the new ones they sell. He said he figured it was the case with all the mods that he found everywhere, but was kinda funny to hear him talk about his reaction once it hit 3000 rpm. like.. WHOA wait a minute.. don't need to go 80 here. lol.. Just cracks me up...
Oh wow! That stinks. The lighting was brilliant last night here too. Too bad I was in the basement and couldn't fully appreciate all of it. After the winds died down I want out on the porch and it was lit up like crazy with lighting. The beautiful thing was after the storm passed the moon came out and everything had a blue cast to it. Since there's no power in the neighborhood the sky was just beautifully dark and clear. Don't get that much anymore with all the light pollution.
wow... I hope so too!! There are quite a few homes without power down here as well. Severe amounts of water even running over I465 (the highway that goes around Indy) causing issues. There was a ton of water in our parking lot and heard there were some roads impassible due due to all the water. One strip mall over near where we like to eat on the West side of Indy burnt to the ground from a lightning hit. Not sure if it was that restaurant or not!!!
